where_are_we said:Tipton Building Society have 2 versions of their maturing 1.35% RS. I opened a postal one in November 2020 which has a maturity in February 2022 and allowed 16 payments. At the same time there was an App version with maturity on 31/12/21 which allowed 14 payments.
I have the Feb 22 account, and I view it via the app. I could be wrong but I don’t remember applying for it by post, but as I have so many RS I may have forgot.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.1 -
I've been ditching many of mine too. I plan to retain Bucks RS Locals (closed issue) at 1% as it has unlimited withdrawals, and a few open-ended ones at 1.25%. I'd maintained some lower paying ones to keep membership at building societies but I'm closing them now (Hanley, Beverley, Leek, Vernon etc) as they don't need the funds to lend out, I can't see them offering anything decent at any time soon.0

Looks like there won't be a roll over Jan 2022 as an RS, but balance can be rolled over into a new fixed rate saver. Email says details to follow shortly. It was good while it lasted, but let's see what the new offer is, as their current savings rates are a little underwhelming.0

Hi Everybody,
These are the changes I have made for this weekend's update.
- Some accounts that have been withdrawn removed from the list on page 1 (including Barclays Childrens Saver account and Principality BS Maturity Christmas Regular Saver Bond)- Newcastle BS Fixed Regular Savings Account (Issue 3) replaces issue 2; same details as issue 2 except that the maturity date has been extended to 18th January 2023 with issue 3
- Leeds BS Regular Saver (Issue 23) added paying 1% variable on up to £250 per month for just under 2 years
Many thanks to James Robinson for posting about the new Darlington BS Green Regular Saver which does not pay enough interest to qualify for inclusion on the list on page 1 but may be of interest to some people due to the green aspect of the product.I will do the next update next weekend.SS2

Hi Folks,
I cannot find anything that has changed for this weekend's update. I have checked on the interest rates on each of the accounts on the first page of this thread and none of them have changed.
I have looked at the Swansea BS website and I cannot see the Regular Saver on there yet but I will be happy to add it to the first page of this thread when it appears.I will do the next update next weekend.SS2

Does anyone know the date of maturity of the Feb 22 version of the account and do we need to make a payment on 1st Feb?
Thanks.3 -

On my ss I have the other one maturing on the 28/2/22 so I'll be making the Feb payment.
But the rules for the account are that you can miss payments anyway.
Hence the choice is yours!1 -
Further to the above, other RS interest due at the end of the year includes:
Ecology
Principality (Thank you)
Mansfield
Saffron
Penrith (200)
Cambridge
