I wonder if I am eligible. I am already a member, with branch RS 1,2,3.
Before I closed these accounts, I opened Internet saver plus issue 7 in September 2020.
To qualify for the Loyalty Regular Saver you must have had a continuous member relationship with Yorkshire Building Society or Chelsea Building Society on or before the 1st January 2020.
You must have an active, open account (Savings or Mortgage) with Yorkshire Building Society or Chelsea Building Society or a SharePlans account that has been OPENED on or before the 1st January 2020, as either Main Holder, Other Holder or Trustee to be eligible for the Loyalty Regular Saver account.0 -

I know I should not complain as it is such an excellent account, but I'll have a little moan anyway. The only way you can open this account atm is by Post. No account opening possible in Branch just now. They need to send you the application form by snail mail, it can't be downloaded, or emailed to you. Imagine how much interest they could pay you if they didn't have ancient processes!.0 -

Yorkshire Building Society have released a loyalty RS paying 3.50% on up to £500 per month and allowing 1 withdrawal per year."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -

One less thing for you to complain about on a superb account.apt said:You can also open an account over the phone, but need to book an appointment for this. The earliest appointment for me was for Thursday.
EDIT: tried both. I can't get it faster than by application form by post. I suppose different branches offer different services.0 -
And with the YBS app you can see when opened"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

What7 I believe you will be okay.

All I can see on my very, very ancient YBS account are the transactions, much like what I can see online.0 -
I believe YBS like Tipton you can see savings accounts on the app when they are opened. This is helpful with passbook savings accounts"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

In other RS news, today the Mansfield BS has pulled its RS 5th Issue (1.20% variable), which could therefore be removed from this thread's list.
Just for completeness: there is a replacement 6th Issue (0.75% variable), which falls below our thread's benchmarks.5 -
"Holy Smoke!" - I have zero balance recently closed accounts - Triple access saver 2 and Easy Saver Plus. Been a member since before 1/1/20. Will we qualify? After loggin, the online application request form asks for account number. I presume this means an account which you already have? It also asks for a branch - I presume you put in nearest one although I do not want to visit.0
