Here's a buck of the downward trends!!
Yorkshire Building Society have released a loyalty RS paying 3.50% on up to £500 per month and allowing 1 withdrawal per year.  Applicants must have been a member continuously since at least 010120 and like previous YBS regular savers it can only be opened in branch or by post.
I have to say in the current climate that's pretty spectacular, decent interest rate and higher than usual deposit allowance. Of all the branch based accounts I would actually go and open one, if I hadn't shut my YBS account last year :(

You're the second poster to highlight this so looks positive.

The thread below also mentions a non loyalty product RS launch.

Cant see any product information online as yet for either.

Yes it sounds great ... although I can't find it on the YBS website.

You might need to clear cookies as is on the website.

I know I should not complain as it is such an excellent account, but I'll have a little moan anyway. The only way you can open this account atm is by Post. No account opening possible in Branch just now. They need to send you the application form by snail mail, it can't be downloaded, or emailed to you. Imagine how much interest they could pay you if they didn't have ancient processes!.

I wonder if I am eligible. I am already a member, with branch RS 1,2,3.
Before I closed these accounts, I opened Internet saver plus issue 7 in September 2020.

To qualify for the Loyalty Regular Saver you must have had a continuous member relationship with Yorkshire Building Society or Chelsea Building Society on or before the 1st January 2020.

You must have an active, open account (Savings or Mortgage) with Yorkshire Building Society or Chelsea Building Society or a SharePlans account that has been OPENED on or before the 1st January 2020, as either Main Holder, Other Holder or Trustee to be eligible for the Loyalty Regular Saver account.

You can also open an account over the phone, but need to book an appointment for this. The earliest appointment for me was for Thursday.

I saw your post just past midnight and looked on website but it wasn’t there. I can see it now have messaged for pack. Haven’t received their usual email notifying of new savings accounts.

If you message them they do send all the forms by email.

One less thing for you to complain about on a superb account.

Thanks for those tips. It seems to depend who in YBS you are talking to - I got my info from my local branch. Silly me me to believe what I was told 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

EDIT: tried both. I can't get it faster than by application form by post. I suppose different branches offer different services.
