Yes I did read this, thank you. I meant nothing came up to stop me applying because of my postcode! Thought I would give it a try to see if it would let me apply after some people said it didn't stop youWheres_My_Cashback said:

I assumed that once opened, they would just return your deposit and close the account. But let us know what happens.HarryDavies01 said:

Staff carry out a manual check a few days after opening, so will close down and transfer any money back to these naughty people who can't abide by the rules - perhaps they should deduct 10% for their time?granta said:

Or maybe just set up the application so only those eligible can apply?liamcov said:

Coincidentally they (Saffron) do seem to want me to go to some pensions meeting with them (email and phone call) but won't allow me to take a RS.liamcov said:

Seems it's ok not to live in the post code for that.
I sense my donkeys years relationship with them is coming to an end.

I used it as an opportunity to complain about the fact that long term members who live in their historic operating area but not the new smaller operating area (they have cut the number of branches but not the pay of the directors!) were being denied access to certain products. The Saffron caller then said - oh you mean the regular saver! She agreed to pass on my complaint.
No regular saver - no pension review!

Nottingham BS
Is anyone aware of a freepost address for Nottingham BS? I am looking to shut my regular saver (special saver 8) account, they said they do not take instruction by email and need a signed letter and passbook. I've noticed they are coy about sending out prepaid envelopes and I think the 2008 list of freepost addresses on MSE Forums is probably now not correct for NBS. Asked in the spirit of maximising net interest returns from regular savers, of course...0 -
No from me but you could always visit a branch when open or pop them through the letter box if you can't or don't want to make their branch opening times.vermania said:Nottingham BS

He said would be better to send passbook to a branch with a covering letter.
