    Hi Folks,

Here is this weekend's update to this thread.

    - Added Principality BS Thank You Saver paying 1.65% variable on up to £250 per month up to a balance of £20,000 but only for directly employed NHS staff who can open an account in branch and show their ID badge

    - Added Principality BS Christmas 2021 Regular Saver Bond paying 1.5% fixed on up to £125 per month for 1 year. You can apply online from 12th November 2020. I am not sure if you can apply in branch (when they re-open) or by post (application form here: https://www.principality.co.uk/contact-us/downloadable-forms) before then.

    - Added Principality BS Regular Saver Bond (Issue 23) paying 1.25% fixed on up to £250 per month for 1 year

    - Added Saffron BS 12 Month Fixed Rate Regular Saver (Issue 7) paying 1.5% fixed on up to £500 per month for 1 year but you can only have one Regular Saver with Saffron BS at any one time

    - Virgin Money Regular E-Saver Issue 18 replaced by Issue 19 which has the same details as issue 18 (including paying 1% fixed on up to £250 per month for 1 year) but the maturity date is 2 months later (20th November 2021)

I will do the next update next weekend.

And the Principality Christmas Saver 2021 can be opened as part of the maturity instructions for the Christmas Saver 2020
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Thanks Surreysaver - "And the Principality Christmas Saver 2021 can be opened as part of the maturity instructions for the Christmas Saver 2020 "
Best way to do it, guarantees acceptance and you get the 1.5% interest on the £125 deposit from 7/11 until official launch on 12/11.
  • Principality offers no reward for loyalty. The maturity interest rates are the same as those offered to new customers. Fortunately, I opened a Regular Saver Bond Iss.22 at 1.5% AER a week ago. The maturity blurb dropped through the letterbox on Monday morning, I'm glad I didn't wait before opening a new account.
  • Lucky you Thomas_Crown, you just got in,  my paperwork arrived monday morning clearly marked with Issue 22 but at 1.25%. I applied last week too.  :|

I'm not going to bother with a replacement account.  I've had enough of chasing interest.    Going to simplify life.

So our £3000 is going straight into our S&S ISA's as we don't need it available.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

Where? I can only see comments from other users mentioning this restriction, and it's not mentioned on the main list.
