Maturity instructions can now be submitted online for the RS Bond 20 and also the Christmas 2020 Saver Bond.
Including moving part of the balance into the new Christmas 2021 or new Regular Saver 23 accounts.
This also has the advantage (for those who choose to move £125 from Christmas Saver 20 to 21) of retaining the same account details.

Opened a Saffron 12 Month Fixed Rate Regular Saver issue 7 online over 2 days ago but the account is still not opened.
Anyone waiting? Thought the a/c will show up instantly online.
All I got after completing the online form is this message, not even an email.

Re Saffron 12 Month Fixed Rate Regular Saver issue 7I opened mine on Wednesday through my online account & it did indeed show immediately, & it also showed the first payment within an hour. I also received an email confirming the opening....EPC

Had to reapply and a/c showed up instantly and 1st payment was credited in about 30mins.

Cambridge RS maturity
The ability to set my maturity instructions have appeared online.
The default was an easy access but their system had kept my external current account details.
Its also possible to open a 3% Loyalty RS with the maturity funds (I suspect most, like me, will already have this).
I'll revisit the maturity instructions after November's payment to see if anything has changed, assuming it doesn't get bounced back, as I only performed a dummy run.1 -

Even though these accounts do not allow withdrawals (except the RS issue 2) the letters state 'if you're considering moving your money to another account, please contact us or visit one of our branches and we can help you discover more about our other savings products. If you do decide to close your account and move your money to another provider you can do so by visiting your branch, although we will be very sorry to see you go.'
So does this mean they are going to allow us to close the accounts down even though they still have 1-5 months left to run on them?
Visited a branch this morning. A branch I normally avoid as they are hopeless (other Notts ones are superb).
True to form they didn't even know there were any reductions. Not even on the ones communicated three weeks ago.
Will revert to a more favoured branch next week.

I have just opened the Saffron Regular Saver 7 online not realising it had postcode restrictions. I am not eligible as I am outside the required postcodes but the account has opened fine. Has anyone had an experience of opening it okay but you are outside the postcode requirement?0

I seem to remember hearing someone say that they check them manually a couple of days later & then close the accounts returning any payments?EPC2

Didn't work for me, even though I am an existing Saffron BS account holder.
