https://www.thenottingham.com/~/media/files/savings/forms and documents/savings-terms-march-19-lit3117.pdf?la=enIf we materially decrease an interest rate to your disadvantage, we will notify you in writing 14 days in advance of the change.You will be given 30 days from the date of this notification to close or switch your account without notice or penalty.We will define a decrease to an interest rate as ‘material’ if it reduces more than the Bank of England Base RateSo I've emailed to ask if my assumption is correct, and if so what the early closure process is. .
Any response from NBS please @bubieyehyehI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -

Has anyone received anything from VM relating to maturity of store based RS19 which matures 1/11 yet?
Proceeds will transfer to Easy access saver reward issue 27 paying a variable interest rate of 0.75%. Transfer will take place on Monday 2 November and interest paid at current rate till then.
The easy access account is only available to maturing regular saver customers.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
As the conversion is from a store account I'm guessing the VM Easy Access iss 27 won't be visible on line?0

So you confirmed (on the phone) that early closure was possible on the accounts where early closure / withdrawal is not normally allowed?
And where did you phone? Head office or branch? And where are you sending the passbooks - branch or H.O?
Did you also ask if a part withdrawal was possible too?
@schiff0 -
Saffron BS has launched an RS paying 1.50% fixed for one year on up to £500pm. But it is for 'locals' only, which counts me out.7

Thanks James - it`s a good one. This account is restricted to customers in the following postcodes; AL, CB, CM, CO, EN, IG, RM, SG and SS. This covers quite a large area so you might qualify even though you do not live near Saffron Walden. We live 30 miles away but scrape in. OH successfully opened RS7 although it comes up online as RS6 with .05% interest though I seem to remember this happening before and corrects subsequently. £500 deposit made and 11 SO`s for £500 set up - calendar months and £6000 maximum - means you can`t do 13 monthly payments. Only one RS allowed at one time - I will have to wait until my existing RS matures.
