I've just closed the RS2 and opened a RS3 within minutes. Good to get the maturity date move further along the year.
I am unable to close my existing account as "Withdraw all funds and close account" is greyed out. Is there a trick I am missing?1 -

There are no penalties for missing payments, and you can make penalty-free withdrawals with 60 days' notice, or incur a 60-day interest penalty for immediate access. It’s also a bonus that you can qualify for a £500 Celebratory Bonus if you meet certain conditions, like being a first-time buyer. Overall, a good choice for those who can commit to the terms and want a long-term saving plan.Life in the slow lane2

Re: Gatehouse...I can confirm that our Regular Saver account does only allow 12 payments of £300.00, and this has always applied. There are no IT errors and no changes to our Regular Saver policy. Apologies for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.i'm unsure that's true, but hey ho... though these are the same people who categorically told me 12 months ago that the RS must be funded by external account and not via internal transfers.

My nominated account has been set up on the RS for a few months already
EDIT: Figured it out. I can only close it in the app, not in online banking. All done now.

Thank you for your email of 2 November, my sincerest apologies for the delay of response.
Please be advised the terms state the Regular Saver account is a 12 month account and the month of maturity would be classed as the 13th month and therefore no deposit is accepted.
I do apologise that the terms and conditions do not explicitly state that the maximum balance is £3600.00, this is under review.

IMHO, irrespective of compensation, Gatehouse should be allowing a 13th payment and those payments that were rejected should be allowed and account holders put back in the position they would have been had the 13th payment been accepted.1 -

in the apply for menu was the fixed 6% regular saver so i applied online and it let me have it even though on the first page of this thread it said branch only.
it also said you can have two reg savers with a max of £3750 between the two,so could i apply for another one and deposit £250 a month into each until i have £3750.
Thanks
How did you manage that, there is no online application link?
