I want to use a Virgin Mplus current account for a switch bonus bit have a Virgin regular saver in progress. If I transferred the M Plus to Lloyds for the bonus would that invalidate the Virgin reg saver now that it is underway (I seem to recall a current account was required to open it)? Thinking about opening a joint Virgin Club M anyway to replace Nationwide flex plus due to the fee increase but unsure if a joint will be enough for keeping the reg saver and anyway probably need to do sooner than this will be set up0

To be on the safe side I would open joint current account first and then switch the old one to Lloyds..1 -
Requested my withdrawal from Tipton at about 7am and have received confirmation that I will get it tomorrow. So they can do same day if you ask to close the whole account when it matures, but at no other time it seems, whether wanting to combine options at maturity or to withdraw from an Easy Access account.
Glad it’s done and will definitely go for the full closure option for any future Regular Savers they may offer.1 -

If you've got other accessible accounts with the likes of Gatehouse, you can test the 'extra' payment scenario - just try an internal transfer of a few ££s to the target RS - if it bounces no waiting for an answer or repatriation of funds...0

Coventry- Yes
MHBS- Cut-off of 3pm on a working day
Newcastle- Not the clearest but implies funds received on a non-working day will earn interest from that day.
The Newcastle BS general Ts&Cs state ``The money will show in your account the same working day, and typically within 2 hours." but will start earning interest ``From the day we receive the money.". Their FAQs state: ``If a deposit is made by electronic transfer, you will receive interest on the day we receive your funds."
Ayes - Aldermore, BoS, Coventry, Gatehouse, Halifax, Lloyds, Melton, MonBS, Newcastle, Nottingham, Nationwide, Principality, TSB, YBS.
Noes - Co-op, Hanley, Loughborough, Mansfield, MHBS, Progressive, Saffron, Skipton, Virgin.
Does this look correct?
Anyone know which group West Brom would be in?

Just a term for a computer programmed by someone who doesn't know what they're doing
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
