As I mentioned/suspected a while back, the Tipton and Coseley regular saver is not going to have a renewal option, or at least thats what I've been told again today.

Seemingly no plans for any RS.

I didn't think they will, but I'm planning to retain the membership.  Hopefully the Easy Access Maturity Saver won't have any unfavourable conditions.

    Melton BS Regular Saver 6
'Nipped' to Melton Mowbray to get the wife's account sorted. Electronic ID had failed when we applied although they reran it today and it was fine. I'm presuming they miskeyed something with our posted forms.
Oh well, nice trip to a town I've never been to.
The very nice member of staff said they'd be able to open the account since we applied "before it was withdrawn". I said I wasn't aware it had been, and she said something along the lines of "oh yes, it hasn't yet".
In short - last call for this account.

Received a call from a market research company asking how was the experience with MHBS

Are they just sharing our data with third parties without consent?
Was it somewhere in terms & conditions document in fine print, that we have given away our privacy rights?

No different to the common follow-ups after opening accounts elsewhere, except MHBS have outsourced it. Think this is included with the usual agreement to receive marketing and other comms. The research Co will have the same GPRS responsibilities as its sponsor.

    You may mean GDPR.

Your personal data can generally only be shared with your informed consent. The Information Commissioner's Office generally takes a dim view of burying consent deep within T&C's. If you opted into Marketing, that may be the basis on which they have processed your personal data. They may also claim Legitimate Interest grounds. You could put a call into MHBS and ask on what grounds they passed your personal data to a third-party. If they claim informed consent you can ask them to prove that.
Either way, you can withdraw your consent at any time and object to their Legitimate Interest grounds for processing under Article 17 of the UK General Data Protection Regulations.

Same here Saturday lunchtime. I said it wasn't convenient. Agent asked when it would be convenient. I replied it isn't. She was annoyed and miffed and left the conversation. I wonder if their fee is based on the number of replies. Have to say I have been very impressed with MHBS.

Would have done the same. I am more likely to do something if they email/post it to me. If they’re pushy, I just don’t bother.

Low carb diet unfortunately. Purchased one for my father, might have a nibble.

They've miskeyed one letter in my e-mail address which was the reason for me not receiving the code for online access. It was all sorted at the end on the phone by very nice and helpful member of staff.
