    Monmouthshire Building Society Maturity Options

I have 2 regular saver accounts maturing with Monmouthshire later this month and was wondering what is the best option to use, if I want to immediately transfer the funds to another bank or building society with minimal loss of interest?
Just transfer the money to your current account. I found they even do it the same day, even at weekends. Probably want to put the request in during the morning, though
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
  • Question about the AIB Regular Saver; is there any way to open this for non-NI residents?

Whilst it says it can be opened online and is open to all UK residents, there seems to be a requirement to have a Select Account or Current Account to have this regular saver, and I believe you need to go to a branch to open one of these accounts and all their branches are in Northern Ireland.

Just wondering if there are any workarounds, it doesn't seem like there is but thought I'd double check here just to be certain!
You are correct. You need to visit the branch, there's no way around it.

Let it mature into Easy Saver and withdraw from there.

Thanks - will let it mature into an Easy Saver on the date it matures and will issue a withdrawal instruction on that morning.

Sorry if this has been answered, I could not spot it in the posts at the beginning of the month when it appeared, anyone know how long it takes for the Coventry sunny day saver to be available to deposit in to?

I opened the account yesterday and got the account details at the end. It does not though show in my online account and if I try to send money to it (from another bank), it fails the checks and I cant proceed. So I assume its not actually open yet, hence the question.

Mine showed up pretty much without delay in online banking (website) and could deposit straight away. Took a bit longer to show in the app.

I opened the account  on a Monday evening around 5ish and received  a email earlier the next day with account  details and was able to deposit cash later that day but it didn't show until  9 on Thursday morning.

IME, doing it online, their online system will not show the maturity until the day after (it seems to update circa 07:00), after which point you can do the transfer (assuming you have a nominated account (NA) that has been approved for transfers); you would then receive a secure message confirming that the transfer request has been actioned (and account closed if you withdraw the full amount) an hour or two later, with the funds reaching the NA by 'close of business' (i.e. late afternoon) that day.

I don't know if phoning them on the day of maturity would get it all done on the same day?

Thanks all for the quick replies, interesting that there is two completely different results, maybe its a timing thing. Not had an email yet either, so will give it to the end of the afternoon and give them a call if I dont have it.
