Are those with an immediate Coventry Sunny Day pay in existing customers, and those with a delay new customers, perhaps?

With that said I was surprised to get an immediate COP match, I had thought it would take an overnight run. Funded from my Halifax account.

I funded mine 5 mins after opening from Lloyds. The COP match to my name was immediate.

I've come to the conclusion YBS want me to do ID with mitek no matter which account I apply for now, I can't do all of the ID so guess I'm going to miss out now.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with my current address but can't be sure.

Anyone know how long mitek has been a thing for YBS?.

Also maybe there's a certain amount of accounts you can have before they want to do checks on you?

Ahh well, been good being with YBS up until now.

Still got a 2023 regular expiring in a few days & a Xmas one expiring in November.

Also it seems you can only open the £50 regular via the site and not app, yet you can do an easy access saver in app, wonder why.

Not in my case anyway, I have been with Coventry for years and applied through my online account (so most details were prefilled).

    YBS

They did ask if I had lived at my current address for 3 years (yes.) I did wonder if those having to answer no would be asked for an ID check. I have been meaning to close accounts I don’t really need, I have 7 and have only had the further checks message for the last 2.

I opened the £50 Regular via app but this was at lunchtime on the first day. I understand it temporarily disappeared after that so perhaps they changed it when they put it back up.

What ID are they asking for with mitek?

In my experience you can't open any account via the YBS app. They always refer you to their website

At the very bottom of your account list in the YBS app, you see this:

It’s been there for some time. Have you got the latest version of the app?

I selected no to the 3 years, so they asked for my previous address which I gave them on application and they've had before when I updated my address with them (think I did that via app) before the new regular existed.

Currently I have 8 accounts fully open,  2 regulars (where most of my current YBS balance is), 1 Rainy Day, 1 Easy Access (in name) , 3 Internet Saver Plus, 1 Loyalty Six Access 2023.

I had a 5.75% loyalty but had to close to free up funds.

Mitek/YBS want selfie, photo ID, and something to prove where I live I think, I don't have passport/driving licence so can only do 2 out of 3.

I think Mitek is new to me (in terms of YBS).

Previously accounts would just get rejected/not fully open leaving me to re apply (and then getting fully open) I re applied for the £50 today and applied for the new issue of their easy access both resulted in Mitek checks.

Seems Mitek checks might now be default for me even though I've been with YBS for years.

It's not a huge deal for me to be honest but I'm curious how YBS work with checks etc.

So like I was used to waiting a day or so for accounts to be fully open while they carried out further checks but it seems now Mitek is their default checking service or whatever?.

Might be a new thing but you can certainly do Easy Access account latest issue application through the Android app.

The £50 regular you have to do website though.

You get the same application experience (bar having to login etc) though so not sure why YBS have done things that way.
