I think @Section62 mentioned this might be happening upthread, seems to be real, and explains why the account isn't being offered in a Beehive flavour . Hopefully with it comes some online access for their branch products.
I've also asked about weekend deposits. I was told that the money will earn interest from the day deposits arrive, normally within two hours regardless of the day of the week. I've sent £10 today, called them two hours later and they confirmed the money has been credited. I will send the remaining £490 tomorrow to avoid potential block by the bank and long conversations with fraud team. Nottingham BS is not yet part of CoP scheme yet, I was told that they will be in about 9 month's time.1 -

Is it £300 Per Calendar Month? Or £300 Per Account Month?
At 5.15% variable, the account doesn't attract me, personally.0 -

Also in today’s post was a maturity pack for the Hinckley and Rugby 30 Day Notice Regular Saver Issue 1. The default is an Easy Access at 2.25%, min £1.
Their loyalty offering (only available within 30 days of maturity, using funds from the maturing account only) is the Regular Saver Follow on 30 Day Notice account. It’s base rate minus 0.75% with a floor of 0.01% but only moves on 1 April and 1 November, so I might have speculatively taken it as potentially useful in a downward rate environment were it not for the condition that no further additions are allowed. There was a 1st class prepaid envelope included so it looks as though the best thing to do is to file the envelope for future use, await the EA, then withdraw balance less £1 online. A prepaid envelope likely has more value than sending off for £1 to be placed in the follow on account instead at its higher interest rate.3 -
Hi Everybody,
I have just partially updated the first page of this thread. These are the changes that I have made so far.
- State Bank of India Regular Saver Account interest rate corrected to 5%
- Kroo Current Account (feeder account section) interest rate updated to 4.10% AER (4.02% gross) variable
- Chase Saver Account (feeder account section) interest rate updated to 3.85% AER (3.78% gross) variable from 8th October 2024
- Leeds BS Regular Saver updated to issue 56 paying 5.1% gross p.a. variable from June 2024 on up to £250 per month (maximum balance at the end of the term of £6,000, plus accrued interest credited to the account)
- Virgin Money Regular Saver Exclusive removed from the list as no longer available
- Coventry BS Sunny Day Saver added to the list paying 6.25% gross p.a. variable on up to £150 per month; there is also a monthly prize draw for account holders - see website for more details
- Post about the Chorley BS regular savings account noted but I have not added it to this list as it is not good enough to meet the requirements in post 1
- Penrith BS Regular Saver 200 added to the list paying 5% gross p.a. variable on up to £200 per month for 24 months (it is this long duration that qualifies it for inclusion on the list on page 1)
- Loughborough BS 5 Year Retirement Monthly Saver added paying 5.5% gross p.a. variable on up to £550 per month for 5 years for people aged 55 and over (I have had to create a new age-related category for this account), up to a maximum of £33,000 (lump sum payments are not allowed), you must never miss a monthly payment otherwise this account will be changed into a different account with a lower interest rate
- Nottingham BS Branch Regular Saver added paying 6% gross p.a. variable on up to £500 per month until 30th September 2025, can only be opened in branch
- I can see the post asking me to mention whether a 13th payment is possible and I am happy to include that information in my entries if the answer is clear; if you want details of old regular savers then check out the link in the first entry on the first page of this thread to an archive that is being maintained by Bridlington1
- HSBC Regular Saver Account interest rate increased to 7% gross p.a. fixed for new applicants
- Melton BS Regular Saver (Issue 6) added paying 6% gross p.a. variable on up to £200 per month until 30th September 2026I still need to finish the update - I cannot do it now as I need to go to bed. I will post again when the update is complete.SS2
For those new to this thread, the first few posts are regularly updated and are on the first page
