Does anyone know where I can find Principality's changes of No Longer Availables?  Their website says they've been through everything, and are changing variable rates on 12th September, but I cannot find a list of past issues.
I have the original Learner Earner which is currently 5.75%, plus a NLA ISA
they have a pdf download of rates for NLA accounts, but it hasn't been updated since last month.

Interest Rates for Accounts closed (principality.co.uk)
Yes, that's what I've found. I suppose I'll have to keep checking it
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

For ease of reference I'll add a list of which regular savers have announced rate decreases/rate holds since the last BOE base rate reduction to the Archived List of Regular Savers thread later this evening, I've been maintaining a list of them on my spreadsheet anyway so it'll just be a copy/paste job with todays additions thrown in.
As advertised below is a list of the variable rate regular savers I'm aware of that have announced rate reductions or that they're holding their rates since the BOE base rate reduction from 5.25% to 5% on 1/8/24.

There may be some accounts missing, if there are any please let me know.

Note I haven't listed accounts that are yet to declare.

You currently have it listed as reducing from 5.50% to 5.25%. Is it the same account or an earlier version?

I think 5.5% is a mistake, they only do a 5.25% 12 month & a 5.75% small saver as standard, then there's also the members month at 8%

Out of interest does anyone know why you can't apply online for YBS Regulars etc?, only by post/branch, like have they actually given reasons?, are new things launching?🤔

Just out of interest, what are people’s minimum RS rates they think are worth having now? Mine is 5.5%…….have access to the Santander 5% one but just doesn’t seem worth it.
my lowest is Aldermore @ 5.25%, but I can make unlimited withdrawals from it if required and so it still pays more than all my EA accounts except Edge.
tbh, if they had announced a drop in that rate, I likely would have closed it - but Bridlington says they have announced no change, so i'll keep going until it matures in January or until a rate drop.

Also got Aldermore but only funded it once, I want to keep it open to have the experience of being with them, then I'll transfer as much as possible out & keep their easy access (which the regular converts to) to stay in their system, then if anything decent comes along I can pounce on it.

It's what they do when they withdraw a product - the ability to apply for the online product is removed but the passbook version remains for a period so people can return to branch to open a product previously discussed and/or the post can do its thing.

My hunch is they're gearing up for a new loyalty regular savings product in the next month-or-so.

Bank of Scotland Regular Saver - renewal

I've been able to use the 'renewal' process successfully to close and re-open my Lloyds and Halifax regular savers. However, this approach doesn't work for the BoS one. I just keep getting the 'something's gone wrong' page after trying many times on both the Halifax and BoS online pages whilst logged in.

Is this other people's experiences or is there a way around this please?
The same happened to me; and there was no way around for the BoS. I couldn't renew it (even though the option was there — it just wouldn't let me renew) and had withdrawn £1,750…So I had to begin again the next qualifying month with the £250 regular SO.

That doesn't sound like the correct process, as you should not need to withdraw anything until you've successfully "upgraded" to an easy access saver. At that point you don't hold a RS, and as far as the system is concerned never did, so you can apply for a new one with or without withdrawing from your upgraded account.
Edit: or, as chris_the_bee points out upthread, for BoS you need to fully close the account and wait until the next morning to open a new one.
I followed the process as outlined here on this MSE Forum:

    It didn't work for me.
That's not a process I have ever used or seen before. It is not the usual method as I understand it. Most people start from step 2, then there is no risk if it doesn't work.
It was discussed at length on pages 1 and 2 of:

    Lloyds/Bank of Scotland/Halifax regular/monthly saver limits

As others had been successful with said process, I tried it but it didn't work for me at all.
  • I've spoken to Principality. They had no info on their NLA accounts but have since sent me an email saying all accounts will reduce by 0.25%
For variable rate accounts only. I only have one variable rate with Principality so I guess I'll be getting an email soon about that one.
