With 2 MonBS RS maturing on 31/8 and running out of attractive places to park the funds I recon £500 is heading into this account.

£50 (or £250) today? Will it still be available at m/end?

Be good to confirm that early withdrawal by closure was an option.

MBS ERS @ 6% - bit of a pain applying - no prepopulated stuff.
Should I have logged on first and the applied to avoid this?
They don't appear to have a facility to do this whilst logged on.

Agreed, logging in only gives access to existing accounts - no facility to apply for a new one.

[and I bet there's another passbook on it's way]

I notice they've added a hard cut off on membership (of today), presumably to stop people doing as we did last year and applying for an easy access then immediately applying for the 'exclusive' product.

This'll be 'minimum deposit and see how it goes later in the year' jobby for us. Mindful that some MonBS products have been very shortlived otherwise we'd probably have left it until next month when we have a tranche of accounts hitting maturity.

Very outdated, I've left a comment about this at the end of application. Otherwise its a good offer - generous allowance, good rate and ability to get out if the rate becomes too low.

Does anyone remember the account in recent months that said it was a fix when opened, but then they later wrote and said actually it was a variable?  I'm struggling to come up with any search terms that find it!

     Could it be Co-op?

I'm thinking it might be worth exploring opening an easy access account with Monmouthshire now.

Had a regular saver with them ages ago, did nothing with it after funding it once because I didn't realise how old fashioned they were, like they sent passbook, had no idea what they were, for a while they kept being like we can send you a cheque etc, eventually more recently they were like they can send money back to the account I paid them from.

So my question would be are they still going to give me a passbook?, can I easily get at MY money ?, they still old fashioned etc?

Just phoned MMBS and got some additional info from them which I'm sure some others will want to know:

You can close the new Exclusive Regular Saver issue 2 at any time in the next 12 months, and they will add accrued interest on top of the amount deposited as well.

Also for info, took nearly 25 minutes of holding before I got to speak to someone, so they seem to be very busy today!
Many thanks for taking the time to do that.  Although the T&Cs do say you can close at any time, including when notified of a decrease in the interest rate, what they are saying on the website does contradict the T&Cs.  Good to bring this to their attention and get confirmation of their intentions.
