Been trying to open a new Saffron Members Month Regular Saver (via the website) - all I get is a reference number, no followup/confirmation email, and no new account showing on the website or in the app.

Anybody else having issues? Or should I just be a little more patient?

I received an email almost instantly telling me my Saffron Members Month Regular Saver a/c was open. Perhaps message them, after checking your sp@m box...

I just notice that Nationwide Start to Save i2 is now paying 5.50% easy access via Nationwide current account. Very goods saving earning 5.1% to this account. I am aware that we will need to deposit at least £25 to be included in the prize draw. But what is the limit of monthly deposit allowed ?
Also I understand this is 24 months, variable interest isn't it ?

Start to Save i2 has already finished it's prize draws, the last being Feb 2024, and I think no longer available to open

but https://www.nationwide.co.uk/savings/help/terms/start-to-save-issue-2/ for the T&C, which is £50 max a month

Mine even is just about to finish it's 24 months as well

AFAIK, the final prize draw was in February this year. The account has a fixed term of 24 months, beginning on the day you open your account. You can't increase the amount of money in your account (the balance) by more than £50 at any time during a Calendar Month. The account therefore has quite limited value now. More T&Cs are available on the Nationwide website.

I think you might be getting confused with another account because you start off saying Start To Save paying 5.50% then say earning 5.1%.

Either way Start To Save isn't available to open to new customers and is ending soon for me and possibly others too.

    12 payments at £50 = £600
    24 payments at £50 = £1200
    25 payments at £50 = £1250

I had £15.94 interest after 1st year, but interest started at 2.50%, then 3%, 3.5%, 5% before it got to 5.50% I believe.

Anyways here is the current list of Nationwide savings accounts people can open:
