    Cambridge BS RS Reward Extra
The entry on the 1st page says that it can be opened in branch, by post, or by phone. My Cambridge RS Reward (4% APR) matures in about a week's time and I was able to give maturity instructions online. One option was to open Reward Extra and to fund it using the funds from the maturing account, saving the hassle of posting the form.
The maturity instruction form is very similar to Saffron's.
  • My Skipton matured 1 Jun, but no sign of those funds yet.

Clearly not as organised as Saffron 🤣

Does the weekend deposit thing with Skipton apply to Saffron too?

Curious as I manually opened and funded the new account  yesterday (at least I hope I did, used the same payee details but updated the ref no) but it's still showing as £0.

edit: deposit now shown as credited in app (Monday)

Yes, both Skipton and Saffron do not credit at weekends.

Where are your maturity proceeds destined to go?

My RS maturity funds were in my Skipton EA as requested yesterday.

Skipton do credit at weekends but deposits don’t start to earn interest until the next working day.

    Faster payments
Skipton is part of the Faster Payments network which means payments from most UK banks will be applied to your account within 2 hours of the payment being sent, regardless of the day or time they have arrived.

For Faster Payments sent on a weekend, bank holiday or after the evening cut off (typically 6:00 pm) we won’t receive the funds until the next working day. This means that, even though the money might show in your Skipton account, it will not start to earn interest until the next working day.

My Skipton RS matured yesterday and I'd nominated my BRT to receive the funds and was a smidge surprised that it had happened when I looked in today - I was expecting it to not potentially happen until tomorrow.  Perhaps it happened today because it was to another Skipton account.

To an external current account, for onward transmission to my 5.20% Beehive EA (Probably NLA)

I can wait tbh. No drama, for me.

Edit, 08:00, Mon 3 Jun: Just checked my app and the matured funds are showing in my BRT, allegedly of 1 Jun, yet I know that they were not in there on Sunday morning. Could have sworn I chose nominated external account, but no matter, it will move out today.
