1st June is just fineSonOfPearl said:I've opened a Principality Building Society Regular Saver Bond Issue 34 today and funded it. When can I make the second payment? 1st June? Does it matter that 1st June is a Saturday?1 -
Generally, with pcm accounts open at end of month with an immediate deposit followed by another as early as possible the following month. There are caveats to this as if deposting into some accounts at the start of the following month some will not pay interest/credit until the first working day.SJMALBA said:With 12 month RSs that state a maximum amount that can be paid into the account, is it better to open & fund at the end of a calendar month, or the start, to maximise available interest?3 -
opened one myself. Have requested a First Home Save form to be sent- we'll see!0

Assume that "Only one of the current issue per person" means that you can't hold Issues 33 and 34 at the same time?Bridlington1 said:

To be replaced by Issue 34 at the same rate (5.5%)

Just so you are all aware for principality:
If your bond reaches £3,000, you cannot pay any more money in.
So no trying to get a 13th payment in at £2506 -
I think I may wait a while on this one. I can get 5.5% already (Skipton Bonus Member saver). It would be beneficial for me if I could defer the start of the fix period for at least 2-3 months.Bridlington1 said:

So just been on Saffron website, no mention of a new Members Month savings account currently:
https://www.saffronbs.co.uk/membersmonth
But then it's not June yet so we will see.

I'm going to hold off opening this one for now too. I'm going to be using funds from my 5.5% regular savers and the Skipton Member Bonus Saver to fund other regular savers on Saturday and Monday so the account wouldn't get more than the minimum funding from me anyway. Plus I usually get around 8-9 hours notice of PBS pulling their savings accounts, which is sufficient time to open it, so I'll likely delay opening it for as long as possible.mattojgb said:
