It is indeed a useful account, though it has already been discussed in this thread a couple of weeks ago.

Regarding Furness Christmas RS, looks like its necessary to send them ID documents, originals or certified copies.
    Or bring them to branch.
Though you only need to do this if you're applying as a new customer, if you're an existing customer sending ID isn't necessary.
Have account with Furness did make phone call was asked to provide photo ID non certified

It's just the box where you enter the account number is for 9 figures
Whereas Web saver has 3 letters and 7 numbers followed by another 3 letters

Put a 0 as the first number followed by the other 7 numbers and ignore any letters

    That worked for me.

Thanks to the advice in this thread, the process of opening the West Brom WebSave account and the regular saver was very smooth.

    Coventry Loyalty Regular Saver (7.00%)
I just received a letter sent by snail mail from Coventry saying that they have returned the money:
"We've recently received a payment for your account numbered above. As this additional money would have meant
that you've exceeded the maximum amount you're allowed to pay in, we've returned the funds tot he bank or building society who sent the payment to us."
I checked my Coventry online AC, i do not see any payment this January 2024. But I checked the "Summary"
    • Each month you can pay in as many times as you like, up to a maximum of £250. If you have a joint account the maximum is still £250. Your deposit month starts on the day you opened the account. For example, if you opened the account on 15 December you’d have from 15 December to 14 January to pay in your first month’s allowance. Your second month would start on 15 January
So just be aware for this account, the month is not based on calender month but based on anniversary month of the account opening. So if you set up the SO on the first day of each month you might get your money returned to you. Also if you might need to amend the date of your SO.

Any news when the Yorkshire BS Christmas 2024 Regular Saver will be launched? It was mentioned earlier that YBS would be repeating the 2023 Xmas RS but I haven't heard anything.
