A tip of the hat to you, sir, for keeping tabs on all of that and being on top of things.

Out of curiosity, did you have a strategy to begin with or did the collection grow organically?

I have no regular saver strategy as such and never really have, I just open any account that I think might come in useful either now or at a later date. I only had 3 regular savers at the start of 2022 and they've sort of bred a bit from there, eventually quattuordecupling over the course of last 2 years. I never intended to have this many, it's just how my savings affairs have ended up and it became a bit of a hobby in the end, all listed on the old spreadsheet so I find it quite straightforward to manage.

I've never bothered to calculate it, during 2022 I held off fixes due to savings rates rising at the time and by the time fixes started to look more competitive my circumstances took fixes out of the equation for me as I plan to buy my first home this year so will need access to the vast majority of my savings in the coming months.

• Max deposit £250/mth
• Available to existing Skipton members, who joined on or before 11/01/24
  
• No withdrawals permitted except early closure
• You can not hold both issue 2 and 3 simultaneously

Always nice to wake up to a 7% regular saver I’m eligible for and easy to open and fund.

A Regular Saver term that lasts for 9.5 months? How peculiar, though based on its name/purpose I can understand it needing to mature comfortably before Christmas 2024. It’s still worth opening for me. It may be variable, but given the marketing context, the optics would look terrible if they announced a rate reduction.

(AER is 6.04% for YBS Christmas 2024 Regular Saver)

Could be useful for some to be able to top up for previous months that you haven’t paid in the £250 limit

• You can pay in as many times as you like each month, as long as you don t exceed the £250
• monthly allowance.
• Any unused monthly allowances can be rolled over to future months, up to a maximum of £3,000 over the 12-month term.
