Re: Gatehouse. I used to have an ISA with them that I switched away for better interest rate. My online account appear to be alive, and I was able to log in, but couldn't apply afterwards, because "all my accounts are closed". Had to apply as a new customer, a bit of pain.

I hope you asked Santa for a new one with plenty of storage capacity, as that must be such a pain.Bridlington1 said:where_are_we said:New Gatehouse Bank customer - RS@7%. Got timed out of my first online application and I am no slouch. I didn`t even click on T&C`s etc. 2nd time there was no hanging around and I completed ok. First £300 deposit made straight away from nominated account - reassured by Confirmation of Payee acceptance - I presume COP takes into account the reference.I will get user ID in welcome pack in post in due course. Is it advisory to install their App as well? Will I be able to see my initial deposit quicker via the App?
I can't say I've ever installed the app (I'm at the point where I have to uninstall other apps to be able to install new ones so only really download apps if I have to).0 -
Anyone else encountering difficulties accessing the Gatehouse website this morning.
I already have accounts with them and want to open the new RS but can't even bring the site up.£6000 in 20230 -
To be fair I mainly use my phone for the banking apps and I still have some non-essential banking apps I could uninstall from my phone if needed so it's not much of a problem at the moment, I just have to be selective over which apps I install. When it comes to getting a new phone I'll most likely just do what I did when I got my current one, wait until a switching offer/ongoing bank reward comes along that requires the use of an app that isn't compatible with my current phone and then get the cheapest phone I can find that supports the banking app I need so that the cost of the phone will be more than offset by the money I'm getting from the banks as a result of having it. My current phone works well enough so doesn't need to be replaced.Stargunner said:

Besides I can't really be bothered with Christmas in general (unless it's in the form of a decent Christmas regular saver) so the last person I'd ask is Santa.3 -
Gatehouse's website is working fine for me, I've just opened the regular saver without any issues as an existing customerbrucefan_2 said:Anyone else encountering difficulties accessing the Gatehouse website this morning.

I had some issues earlier but not in all their site. http://gatehousebanksavings.com/ was showing issues but their main site was fine. Seems like both are working okay now though so must have been very temporary.

What reference do people use for SD for Gatehouse? The account number is different from application reference (which I used for initial payment)0

I think either works, but safest use the account number after the initial payment.qsk said:What reference do people use for SD for Gatehouse? The account number is different from application reference (which I used for initial payment)
It says transfers from your linked account (their bold). I can't guess why when it goes through Barclays receiving process before being allocated to your account by the(your) reference, so I suspect you can send from any bank, but who knows...1 -
You definitely can't send from any old bank - I'm so used to having multiple funding sources and it's taken 24hrs for my original payment to bounce back just nowsoulsaver said:
