Unattractive rate an flexible interest rate with only 14 days notice period. No advantage compared to easy access accounts.Bridlington1 said:Aldermore regular saver has now been launched at 5.25% variable

Probably as its a BS, they do seem to not be instant, though it does show up usually within an hour. If you do transfer via debit card it won't get credited until it's cleared - e.g 3 days. Just in case you try this option.Jazzking said:I should have been more patient... deposit now showing in YBS dated 31st Oct so all set to make second deposit tomorrow.0 -
It will get credited, but it won't earn interest. Do it Monday to Wednesday, and you are losing 2 days interest.nic_c said:

DC Deposits can be useful for people struggling to reach the £500 needed on multiple Halifax Reward Current Accounts. You are losing less than 10p a day in interest on the YBS Loyalty Regular Saver.2 -
Does that mean that if i do a debit card payment on Friday, it loses less interest? Is there an optimal day to make debit card payments to YBS?Nick_C said:

If you deposit into YBS with a DC on a Friday, you won't earn interest until the following Wednesday. Best days to deposit are Mondays through Wednesdays, when you will (normally*) only lose two days.
(* in the absence of Bank Holidays)

Anyone have any experience of Monmouthshire BS internal transfers? I set funds to transfer from the 7% RS to the 8% RS today but it still hasn’t been processed.0
-
Last I checked its online banking only updates once a day - there is/was a line on there telling you when it was last updated - so I'd check again tomorrow.Kim_13 said:Anyone have any experience of Monmouthshire BS internal transfers? Thanks - had assumed it referred to FP’s in, but that makes sense. I won’t try making the transfer again.wmb194 said:

YBS Christmas 2023 Regular e-Saver
I just checked it my YBS Christmas 2023 Regular e-Saver has become Internet Saver Plus I13. I check the documentation indeed October 30, is the day where the interest is supposed to be paid. If I remember correctly it used to be paying 5.75% but with conversion it becomes 4.80%.
Now it becomes Internet Saver Plus I13, I just wonder does it mean that there is no more restriction for the frequency of withdrawal?? Is that correct??
If this is the case, it is good to keep this account with minimum balance, as this account is one a few savings account that allow deposit by debit card. What do you think??
