al rayan — Online banking is being switched off

I'm using the latest version of Chrome.
Just to confirm my route to login is as follows:

• View new app via desktop
• How would you like to sign in? > Choose "Use a password" > Sign In
• Cronto image presented > Scan with the authenticator app
• App gives you a six digit number which you enter and gain access

Yeah got that too ... we were all expecting it at some stage ... and as you say still a decent rate for instant access ...

After numerous attempts to contact them via telephone banking, I got through today without waiting and actually spoke to someone!

She reset everything for me, and this afternoon, I went about setting up my new login through the app.

I got to the stage of allowing/not allowing Al Rayan bank permission to access my phone, and guess what, the app crashed and I was taken back to my home screen.

I tried allowing AND not allowing Al Rayan access to my phone on numerous occasions, but it still kept crashing. I deleted the app and re-installed it again, restarted my phone as well, and the same problem persists.

I don't know what else to do. I'm just glad that I transferred all my money out (apart from a few quid), otherwise this so called banking group would have really left me in the s**t if I hadn't of done.

They're a dogs dinner with this app. I'm waiting for the authenticator to arrive.  Could be worse, they could be handling the coronavirus, in which case things would not be great for any of us.

anyone locked out of their al rayan account? My phone app now takes me to a page asking for username and password? I tried to reset and now been blocked out..

All aboard the hold train tomorrow trying to get through to their useless customer service...

It won't help you, but I can still log in ok. Hope you can get yours sorted swiftly. Try ringing as close as poss to 9am as you can, to get a shorter Q. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀

NB. Their CS is actually very good in my experience. It's just whether you are still alive by the time they answer the phone.....

Would i be able to access my account with telephone banking? or has that all changed since this mobile app business

Telephone banking should still work (but so should the app.......), if you have a telephone banking code. You can but try.......

It took me several weeks and multiple deletions and redownloading of the app and multiple registration attempts. Once I got all the way there and it got to the bit where it checks your phone and I got the sad 'bad request' message for hours so had to start again - I nearly cried!!!!

But I have finally got it to work - I nearly gave up. Just ridiculous frankly!
