Iceland.  Done my list online about 3 days ago and have been checking several times a day and then finally about 10 this morning this slot came up.  Don't think you'd be able to get a delivery with them though bubbs as they're only delivering to people who are over pension age or vulnerable and don't think you fit into that group as you're still working.

Have edited my order 3 times already this evening!

Morning all.  Today's the day my online order is arriving and just had an e-mail to say several things on my list are Out of Stock! Really annoying as one of things is toothpaste!  We've got enough for a couple of weeks or so but will have go out and get some at some stage.  Also out of stock of fresh tomatoes so my salads are going to be a bit lacking!

Seems a bit daft bubbs to delivery 500 yards away but not to you but at least you can get to Aldi.  My nearest SM is over 8 miles away and when we tried there about 10 days ago the queue was half way round the carpark so decided to give it a miss!  We've only got a little general shop within walking distance and they don't do fresh stuff apart from bread but of course only pappy white sliced stuff so no good to me!

Today's my birthday as we can't go out trying to some of my favourite foods :D:

    B - breakfast hash - pork mince, sweet potato, peppers, mushrooms, spinach - P; S; F
    L - prawn salad pitta pockets - HEB; P; S
    D - fillet steak, chips, mushrooms, onions, salad - P; F; S

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM mini pitta
    Syns - birthday drinks 10?

    Morning all
    Sun is shining!
Denise i know its daft, yes i have aldi/tesco etc but where ever i want to go i have to go down the dual carrigeway!
There is a little butchers locally where i get my sausages from but there meat is so expensive! Also next door a fruit and veg shop they are twice the price of even tesco!
When i dropped dh off for work i popped to aldi, people were queuing outside but that was because it wasn't 8 am, i was in and out in 15 mins, got fresh fruit, some meat for a caserole don't want to use what's in the freezer incase we get complete lock down ;🤣 they had UHT milk first time for weeks, this is what i use, but if i had gone at 10 think it would all be gone! Also got eggs, very few tins still but i didnt want/need any, Also got my pizza for Saturday 😂 just incase i don't get there again, can't miss picky tea 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am going to make some carrot and corriander soup to use some bendy's up, get the tea ready to go then need to source a supply and fit mobile tyre place as need 2 new front tyres !!
Would be all i need to get stopped taking dh and done for my tyres!!

Our local butcher (well about 5 miles away!) is OK price wise except for lamb but that's expensive everywhere.  Trouble is even he's rationing so when I went a couple of weeks ago I could only get 8 sausages.  DD1 got me another 8 when she went and dropped them off.

We use UHT milk as well bubbs so with my Iceland order I'm getting 2 UHT and 2 x 4 pint skimmed milk as they only let you have 2 of anything!  Still the 2 x 4 pints should like a while then another couple of UHT.  Still have about 4 in the cupboard so should be good for at least April and hopefully into May but will try and get another order delivered towards the end of April to see us through May, assuming we're still self isolating.

Hope you manage to find a mobile tyre fitter, definitely don't want to be stopped driving DH to work on dodgy tyres.

Hi again, thank you for the encouraging message.
I have already eaten a chocolate bar this morning!  Oops!  It's my youngest DD 16th birthday today - I did order her a cake, but that got cancelled when the shop had to close. So she will have to make do with the one I've bought from the Asda.  We had planned to go out for something to eat, but that went out of the window!  Am about to have a shower, then me and DH will got out for a walk to get some air. Later on we will watch the last 3 episodes of "The Stranger" on Netflix, I would recommend it.
Hope everyone has a good day. xx

    Happy Birthday Denise!
    Image result for Happy Birthday
I'll sing to you every time I wash my hands today.  I think I'd be having more than 10 syns if it was my birthday. Respect!

Hope your DD has a good day too abbafan.

We're doing OK for shopping. I'm fortunate that every supermarket is within a radius of less than 3 miles. Like you bubbs,  I'm buying fresh whenever available to keep the freezer stores fairly intact just in case. So far, eggs have been the only problem and I've yet to see the plain, basic porage oats. If I ran short of either it would be difficult as DH has been trained to make SW friendly breakfasts and those are his vital two ingredients!

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAs grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porage, HEA milk
    L- lentil & veg soup (P,S), sardines (P), pickles (S)
    D- mushroom stroganoff (S), brown rice (F) asparagus (S)
    Syns- tbsp soft cheese?

Thanks Maman, I've been singing happy birthday to me :D !

Just because I've planned 10 Syns Maman it doesn't mean I'll stick to it LOL!  Really depends of whether we have wine or spirits!

Very difficult getting eggs here too.  I've ordered a dozen with my veg box this week but wasn't able to get any with my Iceland delivery.  If I need more then DH can go to the butchers very early one morning (they open at 5.30!) and DH is an early riser most days.  At least at that time there's unlikely to be anyone else in the shop.

Glad to say I found about 3/4 tube of toothpaste in the motorhome (DH was supposed to have already checked in there!).  I was fairly certain there should be one in there so at least we can at least clean our teeth, LOL!  Got plenty of bicarb if we do run out, or salt - apparently both work!
