Morning all. Another sunny day but the wind is quite cold. Did manage to sit in the garden having a cup of coffee a while ago but the wind picked up so decided to come in.
Needed to go out to get eggs today so went to butchers as nowhere seems to have any! Got a bargain on steak - a whole fillet for £30! Been cut up into a dozen steaks, a bag of cubes for stew plus a small joint for Sunday roast. Do love a steak and will be having one for my birthday meal next week!
Today's plan:
B - overnight oats - HEB; F; S
L - corned beef salad - S; 2 syns - will be using some of the chickweed (forgot to put it into the bolognaise yesterday
D - fish pie; peas - P; F; HEA2; 1 syn
HEA1 - milk in drinks
HEA2 - milk for white sauce
Syns - corned beef 2; cornflour 1

Change of plan for dinner tonight! DH says he wants a fish pasta bake rather than a fish pie which is good as haven't got that many potatoes left but have plenty of pasta!

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well.
Scrumptious food pictures as usual BubbsWhat a bargain joedenise, I love a bit of steak.
Well STS this week, surprised yet again, after I couldn't understand why I had put on last week, I also can't understand why I have STS this week as I have been eating non stop junk food while stuck indoors. Must try harder2 -
Ironing bedding!!! OMG! You must be bored bubbs.
It's been another lovely day here. One plus of the current situation is that I'm getting in heaps more Body Magic with a daily walk (2-3 miles each day). I'm feeling quite slim!
That's really good value for the beef denise, I expect it's excellent quality too from the local butcher.
I know I'm a copycat bubbs but we're having fake KFC tonight too.
Will post menu later.

Absolutely agree Maman. Don't think I've ever bothered ironing sheets! In fact I very rarely get the iron and board out, apart from when I'm dress making!
The beef looks absolutely amazing. The thin end bit wasn't big enough to cut as steaks or use as a roast which is why I cubed it - not sure whether to use it to make a curry, a tagine or just use for a stew. Will have to think about it when I do my menu planning.
Used some of the chickweed with the salad leaves today. Made a nice change. Not sure what I'm going to do with the rest of it! I've contacted the company (it's a small local one) to change my order to a Medium rather than Small box but only have it delivered fortnightly. Should make it a bit easier for me to menu plan that way because as most of you know I usually menu plan a month at a time but as things stand it's more awkward at the moment so fortnightly hopefully will be easier for me but will see how it goes.
Enjoy your KFC Maman and Bubbs. Think I might put that on my next menu plan as haven't had it for a while and I've got some thighs and a couple chicken breasts in the freezer.
