Have had a few Syns today although I hadn't planned to.  Forgot about the butter in my sandwich, so 3.5 there and feeling a bit peckish just had a packet of WW Sweet & Salty popcorn so another 2.5 there.  I'd forgotten they were in the cupboard but I bought them to have when we were away and only actually ate 1 packet while we were away.  Not impressed with them if I'm honest and certainly not worth wasting 2.5 syns on!

I decided not to bother with the Zoom sessions.  I'll just carry on the best I can with the support of everyone on here.  I'm sure I'll be fine as long as I keep planning and using the food I've got and not buying any junk (apart from crisps for DH) when I go shopping.

I'm just going to carry on here too denise. If I can get back onto syns online then all well and good but not losing sleep over it.
I'm more in control of my food at the moment than I've ever been since joining SW as I can't eat out.

We went out for our daily exercise earlier. Because we'd taken the car (to drop something off on a friend's doorstep) we decided to get our weekly shopping done while we were out. Aldi was ever so quiet well stocked and had everything we needed except for eggs although that's not urgent. So this week I'll be doing my meal plan after my shop which is unusual for me but I'm sure I'll manage. It's also strange to have DH with me. I usually shop on my own but he thinks it would be wrong to send me out amongst all the potential bugs and stay at home himself. That's not really very logical but I'm sure he means well.

  • Well, got on the scales, no idea if it correct or not, but I am 2 lb heavier. However, I will use this as a basis going forward and weigh & record every Thursday, in theory it will be accurate for the duration and hopefully will show a real loss when using the SW scales when we have group again. I just need to have a focus going forward.

We have not been told about the zoom session yet, but she has another group which she was asked to take over and I know that she was trying it with that group this week, so will probably use it as a learning exercise. I must read the email SW sent about the situation, took one look at the length of it and thought, I can’t be bothered right now!

Hope you are all keeping safe.

Here is what my consultant posted on our SW fb group:

    IMPORTANT SW UPDATE.

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ ❤️

    Hi everyone!

Wow! What a week it has been for all of us! Such a lot to deal with and comprehend in such a short space of time.

Today I feel like I’ve managed to pick myself up enough to be able to put together a message letting you know that even though our SW groups are closed at the moment SW are very much open! We are just going to do things a little differently!

Going forward our package of support is going to look like this .....

    1. Access to a virtual meeting platform called Zoom (this replaces our usual group environment and is an app free to download on tablets, laptops or phones.)

    2. Access to Lifeline online.

    3. Access to our online SW shop providing you with hifi bars, recipe books and magazines. (opening date to be confirmed).

    4. Access to the SW app.

    5. Access to our closed Facebook group

    6. Midweek support via text, email or phone from me as your consultant on Thursdays between 3 and 6 pm.

We are doing our level best to support you in every way we can and this full package comes to you at a cost of just £2.50 per week.

    * You don’t have to use the Zoom meeting forum if you don’t want to but if you do I will be sending you an access code for your meeting time by email.

    * You will be weighing in at home and reporting back to me so I can record it officially on my database.

    * If you want to take up the package without weighing in its ok too. We can focus on non-scale victories instead.

    * Countdown weeks remaining from the point we had to close will turn into 2 ‘virtual’ weeks! More value for money! (e.g 4 weeks left on countdown = 8 weeks of support)

    * Target members continue free of charge remaining within 3lbs either side of Target weight.

*Weekly Paying members can pay using bank transfer and I will pass those details on to you upon reply to this message.

👍 Please let me know by text (don't forget to add your name!) or email that you’ve received this message and let me know your decision about how you want to proceed going forward.

You don’t need to do this instantly as you may want to take a moment to think it through.

These new arrangements will begin on Monday 6th April.

Next week (w/c 30th March) will be our practice week and any of you who would like to take part FREE OF CHARGE can do so. To access the free Zoom sessions, please chose a time-slot to join me so I can send you the link. - (additional post to follow soon.)

    Much love

    L ❤️

Thx bubbs. Thought it may be of interest, not sure if everyone on here would have seen it yet. Did not know about consultants arguing about payments. Have decided I am happy to pay, but might have reached my (interim?) target by the time we start this properly. In which case there’ll be nothing to pay :D . Weighed on my own scales this morning to give me a benchmark and will do so weekly. Only 2lbs to go, but it is taking forever!

Looked in the App Store for the Zoom app, and downloaded both Zoom Cloud Meetings and Zoom Rooms, not sure which one it is. Am sure all will become clear soon enough.

Another day on plan, beautiful sunshine, things could be worse  ;).

Maman - If you text your consultant with the word Maintain she can input it and then you should get your online access back.  At least that's what read into my consultant's Facebook message.  Think you need to do it on your normal WI day but not sure about that.
