SW Countdown to Easter.

  • Went off the rails yesterday:( I work for a construction company, so we are really confused about the conflicting things we are being told about out status as workers. Working in the office is not an issue as there are only 2 of us and we both drive in so little to no contact with others, but trying to deal with a parking bay suspension was a nightmare, as we have to have the bay, but trying to convince the council that we physically could not move anything from the bay was more stress than I needed. Eventually they agreed that we could maintain the suspension, but the damage was done, and I ate all before me.  Back on plan today so will keep up with that. Next big issue will be Easter, which is also my birthday😱 I am guessing that SW will be closed that week also. Wonder if many will be finding this period difficult. As long as I at least maintain, I will be happy.

Just remembered I had a squirt of brown sauce with my breakfast so not totally syn free today. I tried to look at syn online to check the syns and got the usual (after 8+ weeks) message. Have you been to a group recently? I said no and it locked me out. Ill try texting my consultant later but not happy with this. I emailed SW a week or more ago to ask about what happens with target members, like me, who don't weigh regularly and unsurprisingly got no reply.
My consultant has posted on Facebook today that you need to weigh yourself at least every 8 weeks and send her your weight in order to keep your membership up to date.  I've checked on the calendar and I don't need to send her my weight until 23 April.  People in my group, if they don't have scales, seem to be saying they'll go out and buy some, others are weight in Boots or at the local Leisure Centre (although I think that's shut now).

I got Mustard beef & mushrooms out of the freezer so a Syn or 2 in that plus instead of egg I mashed the potatoes with a small knob of butter & some milk (from 2nd HEA) so another couple there but not too bothered as have plenty of Syns to spare - think I've still got about 20 as haven't been drinking much alcohol this week and what I have had has been mainly spirits so much lower syns than wine.

Meant to say  belated Happy Birthday TIE.  Hope you enjoyed some of the cake!

Thanks for that. I would rather not buy any scales as I don't trust myself not to weigh too often. I don't think my local Boots has scales and don't know if the big city centre one is even open as it's in the middle of the shopping centre which is like a ghost town. I'll see if my consultant will accept a top of range weight for the duration. I'd rather tell her the truth. I know I won't be massively out of range when groups restart as SW is my usual way of eating after all these years. It's giving me a structure which is helpful at the moment. 😁

My consultant said  No not saying that bubbs, the group will be for support to help keep us on track...if your following plan and in control you know the scales wont go up...there will be other ways to monitor yourself! Its virtual support that i know many will find helpful x

Hallelujah, am back in the room  :D. Weird how it signed me out and the Thanks buttons disappeared. Anyway, have been reading this thread but unable to post until now. And obviously not weighed at Group now for two weeks  :'(. I have my own scales at home, but really liked the official ones once a week. Not so keen on this new SW idea but don’t want to lose app and website access!! Have been back on plan all day today which feels like an achievement  :). Have OH working from home office now and both kids home from uni, so have all sorts of food around I am not used to anymore, so let’s say we had a week of adjustment  :open_mouth:. But I am desperate NOT to undo all the hard work from the last 60+ weeks, so have given myself a bit of a talking to and am back on the straight and narrow. We have plenty of food in, got more fruit &veg today, so just have to be that bit stronger and eat MY food, not the stuff meant for the others. Is anyone else getting used to their new ‘normal’?
