Evening.  Indie so sorry to hear of your accident but pleased to hear there were no injuries but it is a shock.  Take care.   It’s a bad time to be without a car and it does sound as though the car will be written off.       We just had an Iceland delivery.  As we have said before they are good fresh veg and bread we have had from them has been great.  It’s free delivery if you spend £35 and they have delivery slots for the next day.
Duncan we are cold here but nothing like your way.  I don’t think I could cope with it soooo cold.  Duncan’s Dad take care of your heels.  Know what you mean about forgetting shopping.  I forgot some things on today’s order and the changes didn’t save!
Indie I think I’m back on Instagram but have been trying to sort Christmas presents. I forgot about Christmas cards and have now decided not to send any.
Sheils hope you are not too cold and had a good journey.
    Take care all.

Just to add about how cold it is here, the college carpark still has piles of snow left from last Thursday from where the plough piled it up when clearing the spaces.

Morning, it's wet and dark here today. But no frost. I had to send some more pictures to a garage for their mechanic to assess the damage and had a call last night saying they will probably write it off so they are deciding on a settlement to offer me and I should hear within 2 working days. That's going to be interesting.
I hope your heels are not too bad Duncan's dad, Blimey if you have snow still piled up after a week it really must be cold up there.
Glad to hear your back on IG leanfun. I know what you mean about forgetting cards, luckily I only send 1 now to my aunt in Kent and others I give out so not too expensive for me.
I have a few bits to pick up at the shops today, then that is it for me.
Hope you all have a good day
    Stay safe.

Just afternoon here.  Weather similar to yours Indie.  Only a few more days and the days will start being lighter again.      It’s very upsetting about your car.  It may be only worth so much money but it’s worth a lot more to you.  Hope they offer a good settlement.  It’s a bad time of year to be without a car.   I’ve not ventured on Instagram much yet.  Someone I tag on Twitter has won £250 Tesco’s vouchers today.  Always good to hear of a win then we know we have a chance.  Ho and I forgot she and I both won some chocolates on Twitter.
Still been sorting Christmas presents but should be finished today. Most are being ordered and sent directly.   I normally don’t post many cards but this year it’s not going to happen at all.   I read the price of stamps is going up again I  think in January.
Hope that snow has thawed Duncan.  I just feel cold thinking about it.  Take care going out and try to keep warm.
    Stay Safe.

Gosh Duncan you must have had cold paws! Was fine in Argyle , although wet yesterday. There wasn’t even much snow on the mountains.
Had a great time away especially as we were upgraded and had a wonderful view of Loch Long from lodge and hot tub.
Wouldn’t be far from your GKs  Leanfun. Back home now so must get sorted for Xmas.

Sorry about your car indie. Accidents are so upsetting and worrying.

Our area has just gone into Tier 1 so a little bit of good news. Doesn’t really affect us much but DD pleased as can now go out for a drink with another household.

    Good Morning :)
The rain is a couple of degrees warmer here today at 6C, we are well used to the cold though now that he is an old man, Dad has trouble with the circulation in his hands but my paws cope quite well.
Nothing planned for the weekend, Dad has found an old Bero book so he may try a few recipes, I keep telling him that it is bad for his diabetes but he just carries on anyway.
    Take Care.

Morning.  Very dark here this morning but fine and still warmer today.  Duncan I’m sure your Dad is well used to the cold but as we get older it affects us more he could do with the gloves I saw in an advent comp recently. Pleased your paws are ok.  Tell your Dad to put less sugar in than recipes say I usually put half the sugar and it’s ok. We had some apples and pears in yesterday’s fruit and veg box so will make a crumble. DD2 recommended a layer of each not mixing them and last time it worked out great.  Just hope some self raising wholemeal flour comes in Sainsbury’s order today.  Yes, I’m stock piling here not mega but enough to keep us going for a few week in the new year.
Sheils pleased to hear you enjoyed your break must have been great views.  I’ve had a look at the map and you were very near our GK’s.  We have never managed to make it up there they have come to us.  Years ago we went to Dunoon and Inveraray beautiful places.   Sheils good luck with getting ready for Christmas.   We are both likely to have opposite times from usual.  You having visitors and us by ourselves for the first time ever.  It seems our DS wants to stay where he is by himself but he might change his mind.
    Take care all.

Morning, glad you had a good time sheils and got upgraded. That was a bonus.
We have the sun out here and it did rain earlier but stopped now. Good job you are used to the weather up there Duncan, with the rain and snow you have.leanfun you are so right about feeling the cold as you get older, when I think back and wouldn't wear a coat out as never felt cold it has now it's all changed, lol
I haven't heard from insurance yet but took the car to the garage that has looked after the car for years and does the M.O.T.'s and any repair work that's needed. They took her up and checked her all over and showed me the chassis was slightly bent in front and said without that they would scrap the car because of the age. Having the chassis damaged was something that couldn't be repaired, so they told me to go shopping in it ect until the insurance company organized a collection of it. So at least my mind is settled that no more can be done for the car. Anyway hope you all have a good weekend
    Stay safe.

Well it is dreadful wet day here today. No chance of going out at all!
I have wrapped all my presents though which is good. No decorations up yet though. DD coming for dinner on Tuesday so guess what she will be doing. She is nice and tall so a good help to DH with the ceiling decorations! She is also artistic so tree looks better when she does it.

Hope your dad managed to take you a walk without getting soaked today Duncan and that you have managed to stop him eating sweet things!

Leanfun, we would normally have stopped in Helensburgh on the way to Ardgartan but with all the covid cases around Faslane we decided to be extra careful. We stopped at Luss instead (where High Road was filmed) Officially we weren't allowed to stop at Loch Lomond Shores at Balloch because of the tier restrictions. We were trying to obey the rules but managed to find ourselves in Stirlingshire when we went to see Falls of Falloch! (Not that we saw anyone there anyway.)

Shame about your car indie. Hope the Insurance Co offer you a decent price.

Ho no didn’t copy now lost post......
Wet and dark here too Sheils.  We heard on the news that there were a lot of cases at Faslane.  So don’t blame you for not stopping in the area.  You probably nearly went passed GKs front door.  They were living in a house looking out at Loch Gare but moved around the corner on the main road.   I think most of the children from families based at Faslane go to their schools.  GS is at school in Helensborough now and when they FaceTimed his Dad on Dad’s birthday we spoke to them.  GS says he is enjoying the new school.  I think they all go there from the village.   Time goes by.
Hope you have a nice time with DD and it will be great having help with the decorations we will miss our little helpers this year.

Duncan’s Dad I forgot to put sugar in the other week and scones were ok to eat.  We are not mega stocking up but we had a Sainsbury’s order yesterday and for once they delivered everything on the order including a lot of wholemeal flour so we are set up.

    Take care all.
