Morning. Great clock Duncan and the history. Must say I’m with FireFly about sticking clocks. I once impulse bought a small skeleton clock for the mantelpiece on a day out and never realised it was going to keep striking. Once DH saw it he said what about the chimes. What Chimes? It never went on the mantel piece and I gave it to a friend who collects clocks.
It was warmer here yesterday Indie and no rain. Fine here so far. Hope it clears up for you.
Duncan enjoy your walks.

Good Afternoon.
Dad has been busy all morning so only 2 walks so far today, quite long ones but still, I get bored just hanging about waiting to go again.
The clock has lost a few bits over the years and the top is a bit bare so we are looking for some ornate wood carvings to put up there, also working on a brass plate that will get engraved with the clock's history on it.
Saw a very rare sight on our walk to the shop this morning, Macdonalds rubbish actually in a rubbish bin.

lol Duncan, the floor was full up then, was it. When my DS was at school and he would come home and drop his bag and coat on the floor I would say "could you use the coat hangers when the floor is full" ,lol
It's sunny here at the moment but windy, we had no rain yesterday although showers were forecast, same as today we shall see.
I have nothing planned for today so may do some gardening.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning. morning. Same weather here Indie. I did make it out into the back garden for a short while yesterday and we did have a cup of coffee sat out there. Hope to have a go at front garden today and have more in garden refuse bin for tomorrow.
Ho to the Macdonald’s litter in the bin and Indies comment. I’m still cross thinking of all the water bottles left on the grass in the park last week.
Yesterday Ipad cable on the recharger gave up. In the end I ordered one to come tomorrow and then later found one in a draw of all the different wires that have accumulated so I was back on here.

Good Afternoon
Showery here today but we have missed most of them.
We also seem to have missed both the bin lorries, not sure if that was intentional on Dad's part but it leaves me a bit frustrated.
A nice walk in the woods today with all the bluebells both blue and white and also the perfume from the wild garlic filling the air, I had to trust that Dad knew where he was going because I had no idea and was mostly sniffing all over the place.
Re: the plastic bottle in the park, we have to put up with that a lot, the boys (and girls) never take them away when they are finished at the football, the parents are as bad with their coffee cups. All change next year though when Dad will start to collect the bottles for the 20p deposit back.
More sunscreen on Dad's head then off out another walk.

Very dull and cold here today. Some good news DH is back from his second jab. So things are looking up.Duncan great you have had walks out in the sunshine. Love going out and seeing the blue bells in the woods. We might be able to do that soon. Duncan’s Dad returning bottles for the deposit took me back years. We used to do that when we were younger. Thanks for the tip about fat and the bigger birds. A couple of days ago we were able to have a coffee in the garden and DH commented on the birds singing. I won’t encourage the big birds again.
Take are all. Have a good weekend.2 -
Evening
It's horrible weather here today, the rain is bouncing off the ground. I have been to work this morning, back again tomorrow morning then another morning Monday. I did a long day yesterday. As you can see I am busy with work at the moment. lol.
I hope the weather has stayed nice for your walks Duncan, it's great they are bringing back payment for returning bottles. I remember when they did it years ago.
Good news that your DH has had his 2nd jab leanfun. I am still waiting to hear about mine.DS's GF got a call yesterday and gets her 2nd one on Monday.
I had a nice email when I got home from work, I have won a prize in WOTV magazine it's £100 Book Bundles and Neutradol Products so they will all come in useful. I must go and thank the poster.
Hope you have a good weekend

Good Morning
After a slow couple of days (walking wise) while Dad recovered from a Crohn's flare-up that completely layed him out we were back up to speed this morning with a full walk first thing and with the added bonus of seeing a doe walking across the road in front of us, walking with head held high and acting as if it was their right of way and all the cars had better stop and let her cross, thankfully there was only one car and he slowed right down well away from her then drove away with a huge grin on his face after the doe had gone into the woods at the other side.
Well done on the books win indie.

Morning. Indie we have had bad weather too. Worst part was how cold it has been and the rain. Lovely to hear you have had a win on the mags daily congratulations. Sounds like a good prize. Congratulations. Hope once today is over you can have a well deserved rest.Duncan really sorry to hear of your Dad’s Crohn’s flare up. Sounds as though he’s a lot better do hope you are not pulling too much on your walks. Loved that you saw the doe must have been an amazing sight. Great that the driver of the car was able to slow down and he enjoyed the experience too with no mishaps.Well was going to say all quiet here but we had a visitor the other evening friend’s daughter called around. She’s the daughter of my friend who died earlier this year. She had been to see her aunt my friend’s twin who is in a home two hours car drive away. She will be 94 next month and was so happy to see some family.Take care all.2

Good Morning
Dad is not saying much today, he was eating eggs for breakfast when the top broke of his (other) bridge so he is now left with one and a half teeth at the front and nothing beside them - cue yet another attempt at phoning the dentist.
They called back an hour later and he has an appointment on Wednesday for the dentist to 'have a look at it' so that probably means nothing actually getting done for 3 months.
Still it will help with his Diabetes and Crohn's as he won't be able to eat any solids for a while.
Great fun was had by all.2
