Morning.   Indie great you are able to groom Charlie yourself.  Shame he does not appreciate what could cost a lot of money.  Made me smile thinking of him sulking.
Indie the purple broccoli was a bit tasteless but is supposed to be very good for you. I would not go out of my way to buy it.   Yesterday DS made the long trip to the vaccine Centre.  He said there was a 50 minute queue and they were asking for his National Health number which he had taken with him.   I think he was worn out as the old bike had a puncture on the way to the station and it’s a couple of miles. The two trains there and back seemed to go ok.  We had agreed with DD1 to pick GS up from a football birthday party at a football centre.  We arrived early and when the group came out of the building and walked around to the back I did not see GS.  DH sat in car saw him and recognised the back of his head and the number in the back of his shirt.   DH said he’s massive! He meant so tall.   We did have him here the beginning of the month but somehow he seemed even taller.  He’s way above my shoulders now.  I expect you will find the same with your nephew’s boys Indie. I cooked a roast dinner with an Iceland gammon joint and it’s the most I’ve ever seen him eat. He was on Face time with his younger cousin’s and was entertaining them by playing a version of the Star Wars theme tune on the piano.   So it was a very pleasant time.

let’s hope it warms up this week and not so much rain.

leanfun ,I did notice how much my nephews had grown when I last saw them, the eldest towers above me and has longer hair than mine was before I had it cut, lol. Thanks for telling me purple broccoli is like, I won't buy any, but won't say no if someone gives me some. I did think of your DS the other day as DS's GF best friend had to have a 2 train journey to get her jab as she doesn't drive. As she said, your not really supposed to travel far yet they are sending you miles away for your jab. I had an instant win Sunday on the wholefood competition and won a GB sweatshirt I have been trying for months to win one.I must go and thank the poster. It's dry at the moment here and I am hoping it stays like that today as I have loads of washing to do, and need to get it out and dry, I am off today and back to work tomorrow. I booked my shifts so I work one day then have the next off.
    Have a good day

    Good Morning
Heavy showers here with blistering sunshine in between, Dad is both soaked through and has sunburn on his forehead where the hood has rubbed off the cream (should have kept his hood up)
Another win indie - well done (through gritted teeth)
Dad has grand nieces and nephews that he has never seen as well as some that he only sees about every 5 years and he never remembers who is who anyway so size does not even come into it.
Dad had a call from his financial adviser yesterday and they went through everything and came to the conclusion that Dad has it all sorted anyway although they are going to tweak his pension fund a little in the hope that it performs better and thus lasts longer.
Not sure how far we will get this afternoon, I don't think I will get to the park as it gets sodden quickly and takes ages to dry out again.

    Morning
The sun is out here and it's warming up already, I have today off and need to go to town for a couple of things then must get out in the garden as the grass and weeds have shot up. The gardens loved the rain even if we didn't.
I hope the weather is nice for you Duncan and you can have some nice walks. Make sure your dad puts plenty of cream on his head. My DS has his head shaved now so he will have to remember to slap the cream on when he goes out.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning sun out here too Indie.   I managed to pull up a load of weeds from front garden yesterday  before bin day today.    Well done on your GB  sweatshirt win.    We have just had an unexpected delivery of two Lex games one Harry Potter and one Disney.  They are word games in an L shaped type pencil case and for 8+ so great for GKs.  I need to look up where they have come from and thank poster.
Duncan hope the sun is out for you today.  Saw online pics of Royals your way in the rain yesterday.    Like Indie grass needs cutting here but there's only a small area of it so not a big job.
FireFly hope you too have sunshine and can sit out.
    Take care.

No luck finding a posting I’ve entered but the prize is on the Mag Dailies and weeks ago I  started to do them again.   I know I did go in for this on there I’ve looked through a few of their sites and they don’t list winners of this prize something like 17 to be won.   Indie I thought with the mags daily comps the winners were emailed for their address.  Still a very welcome prize for a present for GKs.

    Good Morning.
Too many flies yesterday and all down at ground level where I was having to walk through them.
Lots of walking being done, we are not going very far just now but Dad does take me out as often as he can. Hot weather due here for the next week with plenty of sunshine so hopefully it will inspire him to take me further and maybe even a drive down to take a walk along the coast.
Plenty to do in the garden for Dad, we have someone coming to collect some plants and cuttings tomorrow, they are regular visitors so there should be no waiting in for them.

    Have Fun

Morning.   Sunny here this morning and we too are expecting good weather this week.
Duncan hope you have some good walks and the trip to the coast.  School half term next week so everywhere will be busy plus the bank holiday.   I think we will be in the garden too.
Take care all and have a good weekend.

Morning everyone. It's a lovely start to the day here, hope you get your trip to the coast Duncan If not I am sure your have plenty of walks.
Kids have broken up here for a week now leanfun so expect it will be busy everywhere if the weather stays nice.
I am working tomorrow then off till Thursday and I have only booked 2 half days next week. I have to take Charlie to the vets next week as we think he has torn a ligament in one of his back legs, he keeps hopping everywhere he does put a little weight on it but not often. When I phoned for an appointment I was told they are fully booked unless it was an emergency, as Charlie is eating well and running around I don't think it's an emergency and he isn't in pain. They suggested it could be a ligament and to keep him still as much as possible, I laughed and said no chance he is only still when asleep. So we shall see what it is next week.
Hope you all have a good weekend

    Good Morning

Misty start again today, if anything it is thicker than yesterday but hopefully it will burn off as quickly.
Dad is having a terrible time already with the sun burning his skin even with factor 50 cream on and a hat, he has bright red bit where the cream has rubbed away found his neck and upper arms and one of his ears has gone all crusty. This could mean an end to our midday walks while he sits indoors waiting for the UV levels to drop but at least we still get the long morning walks.

Computer updates are slowing me down in the mornings, I have tried to shift them to update when I am not using the PC but they always still seem to do it when I first switch on at 7am and I have a hard time getting things done.
    First world problems.
