Basically Every software Developer says it, its all about the 18 month cycle, 'Sorry this App doesn't support Android' 6/7/8, Anyone with an android 7 upgraded to 8 the day they got it can't upgrade to version 9 and all the apps will soon follow.Even Whatsapp is about to say good buy to iPhone 7 users. "iPhone 7 Discontinued: September 10, 2019; 4 months ago" So anyone that just got that phone now has a lemon and its Only 3.4 years old

Then isn't your complaint about phone companies rather than MSE?

I am not a fan of the new forum I must admit. There are some functionalities that have been removed altogether, such as hovvering above a post to get a quick glimpse of it before opening it, and I still havent worked out if you can delete a post yet
It appears less user friendly and also appears to have killed the traffic on the forumWith love, POSR6 -

Then isn't your complaint about phone companies rather than MSE?Not when the forum only seems to work for phones that are less than 2 years old. The forum if it was any good should work on ever browser made over the last 10 years without any mods. But you get what you pay for....Apps can get away with it the will always be new users, Websites and forums have to support all the current users.I google 'What killed Skype' and this answer on Quora seems to sum it up well."Apr 20, 2018 - Microsoft didn't kill skype by acquiring it. They killed it by removing everything that was great about the app and implementing a POS useless interface to boot. Problems began since version 8."That and they booted every user out forcing them to change password and check their Email and 'confirm your ID' A bit like this forum just did.

Editing is unlimited, The is no Delete button, you just have to delete all the text and say 'Delete'

There appears to have been no real testing before it was launched. If you use Internet Explorer (and a lot of people do), then the text overlaps and can't be read. In my mind that is something that was quite basic to check.
But agree, they have lost a lot of functionality, and I find myself using it less as a result.4 -

Not only is IE defunct (not supported), but everything I read suggests that using it is not safe, too easy for hackers to exploit vulnerabilities that are not going to be fixed by Microsoft. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)6

If I have missed any I used to work backwards but it seems less easy having to be at the first page, then find the last page before scrolling down to find the latest post.
If I am missing a quick link to the latest post please let me know.
Maybe, like many new things, it takes time to get used to. I would like to have the speed of access as was easy and quicker before. Sometimes I check now and just abandon it when I can't get quickly to where I want to be.
It is probably a lot to ask but I wonder if a quick Q and A to see if an easy missed solution is available and already answered - or to ask a quick question such as "How do I do this in the new system now?" Time is a problem, I'm afraid and I miss following the lovely helpful 'regulars.'
I usually really enjoy the forums but much less so now, I am sorry.
CrimsonI think this ^^^^ is exactly it (bib)Isn't it only about 2 weeks since the change?I don't like the new layout.I don't like a lot of the new features.I miss a lot of the old features. But I'm finding it easier to use as time goes on - a bit like wearing a new pair of shoes in.Maybe those people who have voted with their feet took one look, decided they didn't like it and didn't give it a chance to get familiar?I don't know why any of the OS stalwarts have decided not to transfer over, OS is a board I dip into usually once a day and I don't post on many of the threads here.I have read some complaints about issues with how the board looks but I don't know if they are 'I don't like it, I want the old version back' or 'it's physically impossible for me to use because of my vision problems'.8
