I'm not like a lot of posters who know other users and class them as friends.

I'm probably a very atypical poster on OS.

Never a challenge poster here too apart from the annual greenfingered diary threads. (and when I was stuck in a chair for six months and discovered the lovely people here on OS. I view forums like a pub - you get to know people, get on with them, avoid them, buy them drinks for extended periods when they're down, or you just avoid the place all together. I'm not really a sociable person (just noticed the spellcheck is back I think but daren't test whether the sweary filter is back) but like to help people and always have time for the good guys (not meant to be gender specific - lexicon is failing me this morning)

Ooooh really?

I'm using a workaround where I have 2 sessions open and quote one post, then quote another from the other session and copy and paste but if you have a 'proper' solution, I'd love to know.

I've a fantastic new thread that's been brewing since the summer but didn't launch it for various reasons. Maybe later today. These days in general I'm trying to 'do it' while I can rather than just talk about it, that goes for gardening, de-cluttering (today's mission) and everything else.

I used to live here in Oldstyle and Health and Beauty, with the odd venture into Marriages and Relationships but I rarely post now. I feel Im often repeating myself, that Ive said it all before ................

It seems to just be like normal quoting but it seems easier to just chop up the quotes in the grey boxes

I lurk but rarely post.  I never feel that I have much wisdom to impart, only lots to learn  
If people have been put off posting and contributing for good, we all lose out.  Hopefully a solution can be found.
