@renfirsttimebuy what's so wrong with the bathroom? Describe what you don't like and there may be a way to do a temporary cheap change.

I don't like my kitchen, never did, it's hideous, but it functions! I can't afford to do anything with it for a few years, even if I changed the doors the cupboard frames would still be seen as would the worktops. The tiles on the wall have been used on the floor, only they are quite painful to walk on as they are mosaic lumps. My pantry is nice 😁

Come on, you can get through this, it's your home and you need to settle in. You can't afford to go ripping things out and replacing them, you need your emergency fund first x

  • First time buyer renegotiation,

hello me and parent have recently agreed a price for a house prior to lockdown but we are now aware that property prices have dropped and may continue to do so, what do you suggest we do?
Stick with the price or offer lower? We are not under contract yet

Where have you seen prices drop? There are no price drops in my area.
The prime minister has today suggested an extra 2.85 million people from Hong Kong will be allowed to come and live in the UK, do you think that will create more or less demand for property in the UK?

Yes, it has been reported on the news that house prices may fall. However, this may simply be an average and is yet to be seen. If you’ve already negotiated and offer agreed on a price, my guess is the seller will want that price for it.
Renegotiating is your final call, but I wouldn’t personally make any moves that may hinder a sale already in progress

Start your own thread as this one isn't the place for that, this one is supporting the OP and a few others who joined through their home purchase and beyond.
