@renfirsttimebuy congratulations on getting it resolved and testing everything.
Welcome to your new home!
I never confessed it took me about 30 minutes, with the manual in my hand, trying to work out how to switch the boiler on, then the hot water and radiators 😂Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Does anyone have any idea on council tax? I've still got a week at me rental and my house do i get two or cancel one? I'm confused!Firstly, congratulations!Secondly, I’d inform the LA that you’re now the owner of the house but that your move in date is next week, when you move out of your rented accommodation and that your purchased property is empty of all furniture & furnishings until then. They’ll do the working out for you 🙂 you may even find an online form to complete, mine offer this.
Im sure everything will be fine from now on. Remember, the house is now yours, there’s no major rush to get the off jobs sorted. Just try to relax & enjoy being a homeowner♥️FTB-

@renfirsttimebuy I notified my new council when I completed and confirmed the date I was moving in, also advised it was unfurnished until that date. Only got my bill yesterday.
Notified the old council the date the tenancy was ending. Got a closing bill from them.
Both were dealt with online, via a notification form.
If you are staying with the same council, it's a bit easier.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Really want to keep cost down.I hope I’m not breaking any forum rules here? But I’ve been following a certain social media group where people do loads of DIY projects themselves, keeping the costs very low. It’s great to follow and quite inspirational! If you have access to a certain social media platform, give DIY on a budget a search 😉FTB-
