So I've changed my plan now-
Repainting whole house
Flooring in bedrooms
Fixing stairs
Boiler
Then focus on outdoor space to enjoy summer1 -

@renfirsttimebuy how about mixing it up a bit? Some of the garden and some of the house? That way you get to enjoy the outside space while the nice weather is here, the garden doesn't have to be perfect for now, just enough that it's useable, you can do a small section at a time.
I'm concentrating on the garden, saving the inside stuff for the iffy days as I've decided to give the whole place a freshen up in white as I've enough if the stuff!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
That is a good idea. Yes i think i will do that. I can imagine I'll be tired and would need a nice place to relax!1

Exactly, otherwise you will be drowning in interior work and not having an escape from it.
Best off write a list of all the jobs you want doing then you can pick bits off eg:
Paint 3 fences
Dig up left side by fence
Dig up right side by fence
Prepare patio area
Lay patio
Paint 1st bedroom walls
Paint 1st bedroom skirting
Paint 1st bedroom door
Once it's bite size you can see results, look at the whole job as one and you will start to get annoyed 🤫Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -

I kept track via a spreadsheet, I've set a new one up so I don't see how much I used to have 🙈
I've also opened up a new savings account and reused my old ones as 'pots' for different aspects of my life eg:
-- car stuff / home insurance,
-- interior repairs / furniture
-- communal repairs
-- garden
-- emergency fund
-- savings just for savings
I will get your new home guide up by bedtime Tuesday, just been extremely busy with packing, moving, unpacking and I've still got more to move over and finish working through everything needed due to the move 🙈🙈🙈
What I can say is, it's so good being in my own home 🤭Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
