    Hey all :)
@120624 I've just followed your Instagram - I too set up a Instagram account, just so I can see the progress.
Ours is a 1950 ex council house too so cannot wait to see what you get up to!
We have done so much in the short amount of time 2 weeks today since we got the keys...everything is stripped and electrician is currently re-wiring :)
@renfirsttimebuy not long until your date...how are you getting on?

@han_nah95_2 thank you I’ve followed you back! You’ve made so much progress! We’ve only ripped one room out so far, we had so much furniture left from the lady who lived here we had to sort all that before anything  :|

What a coincidence we’ve bought similar houses, going to be brill to watch you renovate, so exciting!
  • Hiya both!!!
So nice to hear from you. So lucky that you both are in your homes and started work. Han- what is your Instagram page?

@120624 did you find any nice furniture left in the house that you could upcycle?  I am following you too! :)

I met the owners on Monday...really sweet couples who wanted to show us furniture etc if we wanted to keep any.
I've been so awful at packing...today I'm trying my best. The weather is not helping. All I seem to be doing is browsing garden furniture.

@renfirsttimebuy that’s so nice of them to do! I can imagine you are struggling, it’s baking hot as well! Thank you for following x

There are a few bits of furniture worth while, I’m mostly interested in the corner display unit that I’m thinking of painting it’s in great condition. We have a two piece priory teak set as well but it’s very 60s, so hoping to get it on Facebook or eBay, doubt it’ll bring much though! Is there stuff you’re thinking of upcycling?

Hehe I said packing was a dreadful task 🙈
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • @120624 I've been following a lot of people on instrgram who upcycle and I think it is so cool and inspiring.  I love how ppl use  old furniture for a vanity unit in the bathroom!

I didn't purchase any of their furniture. The house I brought was built in 1996 so fairly new. I've decided I am going to go for a morden look...althought I love Victorian houses and old furniture it won't suit the style of the house at all!!
