No stopping Parking Charge at Airport

Picked up my girlfriend from the airport in a no stopping location at Southend Airport train station.
Fine issued by Vehicle Control Services Limited. They are a member of the (IPC AOS) .
We tried to defend it to the IAS but they didn't accept our reason for stopping there. (She was flashed on the train and didn't feel safe walking). They dismissed it.
Now have a demand for payment letter which has gone up to £160.
Is it worth fighting? Ignore it?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Either pay up (in full) or defend your case in court within 6 years , your choice but we say fight
Debt collector letters are to be disregarded , they have no powers
Only a judge can decide the outcome , in court4 -
That's the issue.
Is it worth fighting?
What are the chances of winning?
And will it go as far as court?
And if i lose what sort of costs could occur?0 -
Is it worth fighting? YES
What are the chances of winning? Pretty Good, especially if you haven't admitted to who the driver was
And will it go as far as court? Maybe
And if I lose what sort of costs could occur? £200 max. The £60 they've added on is easily contestable, so they can only claim the original £100 + certain court costs.3 -
Well they know i'm the driver because we tried to appeal it.

"Motorist Details
You reported that you were the driver and the registered keeper at the time the parking charge was issued.
You reported that you are being held liable for the parking charge."
This was listed on the appeal site.0 -
If this land was covered by airport or railway bye laws they may struggle, depending on whether they know who was driving or not. How precisely did you name the driver?
As they have added an unlawful £60 read this
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6014081/abuse-of-process-district-judge-tells-bwlegalNine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1 -
The car was leased and the agreement was in my mother in laws name at the time. All letters have been addressed to me since then. Not 100% if we named me as the driver or not.
The road itself is between the Airport and the railway station. Literally separates them both.0 -
They added the extra £60 as a Debt collection cost....0
