  • After an early night I woke first thing and couldn't get back to sleep. Came downstairs and snoozed on the sofa until Mr M_F came down at his usual very early wake up time.  Due to being up extremely early I took advantage of the situation and by 7am had soup made for work lunches and sheppards pie filling bubbling away in the slow cooker.  Used half mince half lentils and will use the other half of the mince tomorrow to batch cook a chilli again in the slow cooker.
We have managed to do more in the garden - putting down bark chippings, planting a tree (so happy about this one!) and pruning a couple of wayward shrubs.
In other money saving news we have sold our tumble dryer on bay of E so more money in the coffers towards our saving pots.

  • I really am not doing well at this diary m'larky am I?  Trouble is what with this rain and what not I'm not really in a chatty mood let alone a debt busting one.
I don't like this new layout at all.  Trust me to start a diary right when they go messing about with the forum.  I have had to get rid of all diary notifications as I can't have daily updates anymore and the instant notification was driving me mad.  Now I have to physically log on to check if any diaries I follow are updated and if you can see dates (rarer than hens teeth dates on this new forum!) you would see im rather lacking the motivation to log on to check.

I'm trying to get to grips with the new layout too and I'm also finding the lack of dates frustrating.  I thought maybe its because I'm usually trying to read it all on my phone.  No doubt it will all seem normal before we realise it.

Have updated next weeks meal plan on March Grocery Thread.  Changed a few things around to try and keep costs down.  Have gone through cupboards to check Fridays Mr T shop and knocked that right down
Today money has been spent but all allocated for from our "pots"
7.99 phone cradle for car -car maintenance pot
39.99 mini motor head for our vacuum  - household goods pot
other spends have been from my personal spends and include some items of clothing that are very much needed.
A payment went out to one of our debt payments by S/O today which should be the last debt payment for Feb.  Most of these go out at the beginning of the month so its a long wait for this one to debit. **getting itchy feet to update spreadsheets with debt busting monthly total** Updated! total debt repayment for Feb including taking off interest paid £508.21
