  • @WinterWarrior is giving up check chocolate for her diet 😇
I am in awe of her strength and determination.
It’s all lies….I’m calorie counting, so much, much less chocolate, but it’s still there 😬 just in mouse’s portions 😢

  • Well it has been a spendy weekend. Not got alot left in the pot for groceries etc but not long till payday. We have picked up a few extras which adds up quick when your not looking. At least we spent within our means even if not to our weekly budget it was still within the month one.
I'm even going to try to reduce the grocery budget a bit more as we getting better. I'm learning how to meal plan what we can afford rather than want but we will eat.
Cutting down on caffeine will reduce the pepsi max bill. I had some diet coke caffeine free cans. Not the nicest but it's nice to have some in incase I fancy pop. We mainly drunk ribenna all weekend so I only had 1 1/2. The half was shared with Mr M_F on our day out.

You’re being mindful of the caffeine reduction so that’s a step forward. I rarely drink cola so not sure I’d know if it was caffeine free. What’s the difference taste wise?

  • Thanks SA.
It tastes overly artificial but I'm not keen on normal diet coke. I like pepsi max and Coke zero. Pepsi do a caffeine free but our local store doesn't stock it. When I see it I will try and see which I prefer.

  • I found the caffeine free was overly fizzy. I haven’t tried it for years though. I have bog standard Diet Coke as I’m used to it now.

  • I usually pour mine I to a glass so the bubbles go sooner. Mr M_F drinks a bit out my cans if out so I can swill around the bubbles 😂 He also has to take a bi swig out any bottles of ready made squash like ribbena as it's too strong for me. I tend to take a water bottle with me when out but sometimes you get caught short.

Coke zero does a caffeine free version too. I don't often drink fizzies but can't stand Pepsi at all.

I like the cold infusion tea bags, especially the cranberry one. I keep topping up the water so it gets weaker and weaker as the day goes on 😆 I’m not a fan of fizzy drinks or squash but love a jug of iced water with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh mint, very refreshing. Not last thing at night though as I’d be up and down to the loo all night 🤣

  • Not sure if I'd like cold infusions but it's intridged me to look into them
