Tetley raspberry and cranberry are the ones I have. I’m not over keen on the other flavours but I like this one. Just something different to drink really.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I can't do flavoured teas, hot or cold. I tried so hard when I was pregnant but just couldn't do it. I mainly drink tea, weak lattes, water and apple juice. I'm so boring! 😂

How's the weather there? It's slightly breezy here at the moment but got a red warning for about midday.😬

  • Weather was a bit rainy and breezy when we left at 6.50 but it's not too bad at work.
Don't think we are down for the worse fortunately here in the Midlands. Hope everyone else stays safe.

I'm also in the Midlands 😊 It wasn't too bad this morning but has started getting worse and the forecast is now showing a disruption due to winds warning. Thankfully it doesn't look like it's going to be as bad here as some places. I hope the storm passes quickly for those it's going to hit the worst, wind can do so much damage.

  • Good morning diary readers contributers and lurkers 😶‍🌫️
That's the sun poking his/her little head out to see if nasy Eunice has gone (apologies to any real Eunice's out there). I do hope you are all ok and have not suffered any damage to self or stuff. We had a lucky escape I feel as apart from a strong gust and some rain we weren't affected.
So what have we been up to in the world of mse wannabe this week?

*. We have sulked crawled and hung our head back to YNAB. This has not been a happy decision I tell you after the robbing bar stewards doubled the price overnight for those of us loyal users who had been there since way back when. I was making lots of mistakes in my lovely manual ledger as updating it just before bed wasn't the best way. The amount of rubbing out changing highlighter colour or making amendments just wasn't on in my overly hyperactive brain. At least with YNAB I can update on the go and not look at an untidy mess thinking I should re-write this out (nope not doing a whole month) my writings never being good that's why I work with numbers. I do try and improve but hey .

*. We have ate from home all week 😊 this is good and hopefully by the time the weekend is over I will be able to report no takeout at all. Weekend lunches can be a problem as we are always rushing about getting stuff done and after eatting pack up all week we end up getting a greggs or other. Organisation is key here and I have some frozen sausage rolls I shall cook and pop in the car as we are visiting this morning. We shall be able to pull over on the way back and munch before the pangs of hunger trick us into spending dosh.

*. We did a main shop at Lidl! We have a brand new Store quite close to us which is bigger than the local one. We were suitability impressed. It took longer than we liked but that's because we don't know the products that well. When we get a better idea I'm sure the time will be cut down. There's a few things we need to get from other places but not many. We have tried a few own brands to see which are keepers. I'm not keen on the decaf coffee (there's a surprise) it's a bit too chicory tasting for me. We are going to try a few more swaps next week if we get on ok with these. We always buy stores own on most things but as you know the taste can vary hugely between stores.

So a big tick so far this week. Yes money splurged on YNAB but otherwise good.

Tip of the week - try Lidl sweet and salty popcorn 😍😍😍

    Morning MF 👋

You have to go with what works for you so if YNAB suits you then it will be worth it. There are plenty on these diaries find it useful. I have a spreadsheet with lots of tabs that I enjoy updating- yes I need to get out more 😆

I write a list for Lidl in the order of the layout of the store. Every so often they have a change around which totally throws me out 😆
