  • Its quite refreshing when you strike a routine payment off your list of payments @Naomim

At this rate I will be knocking everything off the list, selling up and becoming a cave dweller.

The food shop really needs more attention.  We know the snacks fizzy pop and general niceties overdo it but its so hard to resist.  Lets face it our waistlines could do with trimming too.

  • I love how few dd’s I have each month now, I used to have loads of them. You still need goodies in your food shop 😬 …they are essential!

  • The food shop Ines are essential. Trouble is we scoff the lot then buy more and scoff and more and scoff and rinse and repeat!

To be fair with two kids and MrM, a lot of my shopping is fizzy drinks and snacks. I don't drink fizzies as I get hiccups and too much 😂 MrM can't live without coke zero every day. Bottles of pop can go in a day!

  • Good morning diary readers writers and lurkers.
Happy to report a few small wins yesterday:
    * No nipping to shop for snacks.
    * No caffeine (that was hard)
    * No fizzy pop (a miracle in our house)
    * Ate from home Inc snacks which was a mega win.

Must remember the small stuff as it's that which will keep the big stuff on track.

I couldn't do a day of no caffeine.  I drink decaff tea as I'm quite sensitive to it but usually have a couple of lattes in the mornings.

  • I am getting more sensitive so am trying to quit. I'll still have read and decaf coffee as well as pepsi max on weekends but I need to see if it's that setting my migraines off again.
Withdrawal hasn't been as bad today so fingers crossed

Coke zero do a caffeine free version if that's any good?  Maybe just have one coffee in the mornings?

Thanks NM I will look out for that. I've seen pepsi max have started a caffeine free version too so am on the look out.
I have been having the two a day am but trying to go fully decaf (apart from tea) to see if it helps. I think I have slept better the past couple of nights but don't want to tempt fate.
All the good stuff is bad for us. On a plus note my bargain chocs came from HC so am enjoying munching on them. Valentine's Day is approaching so I'm hoping there will be more discount choc when it's all over 🤣
