You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • BW Legal Defence   They seem to admit that £100 is a reasonable sum to charge plus the contractual costs of £60.00

Contractual costs or whatever they call it ARE NOT allowable - see any post by beamerguy about Abuse of Process.
  • Hi.. Yes I understand this, just did not expect them to put it in their defence...
  • They really are the scum of the earth.. Hope they go under soon, I will send off my complaints to all the other bodies in the next few days...

    A coupon-mad says.

BWLegal will put any old nonsensical rubbish in letters and a WS if they think they can scam the court ........ that is why they get spanked.
BWLegal still don't smell the coffee, sad, we cannot help them anymore
  • Does this mean they will not send anyone to court?

    No.

They'll send a legal rep who is not a witness and can't be questioned (but you can be).

    Clever, innit?

I've sat there as a lay rep while a barrister-qualified rep (I Googled him afterwards) tore into the Defendant sitting next to me like he was Rumpole of the Bailey, when allowed to 'question her'.   I was not allowed to question the rep because he, by contrast, was not a witness.  To be fair this is unusual and you don't normally come up against a barrister who is aggressive, usually it's a young, newly qualified mouse of a law graduate who hates what they do!

As the Defendant, you address the Judge and say ''I invite the court to find that...''(blah blah, your points) but you can't look the rep in the eye and ask them stuff. But they can to you!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
