The layout could be optimised better.  Why not move the date into the left side it takes way too much space.  Cogwheel could be moved to right of thanks.  Then get rid of the blue banner that separates each post.

No idea how to get around the MSE forum any longer. The old one was bad enough. Complete and utter mind-boggling confusion - even for someone like me who had a career in IT!!

The layout is basically the same it has gained some features and lost quite a few but getting around is still the same.

The 'new forum is broken.

It is horrible, horrible, horrible and has driven some posters away from the parking board.

We do NOT want to see the 'latest' unread post first, never did.  It helps no-one.

I have just spent about 45 minutes just replying to this single poster, because the quote function doesn't work properly and is in the wrong place, I can't spend 45 mins replying to one poster on a board where i normally reply in seconds:

And having a massive 'preview' and 'cancel' button on the left under your posts is just ludicrous.  

So frustrated.  The forum has gained NOTHING useful at all and looks so large it's really odd, like we are all reading a version for visually impaired readers.  Why is the font so childish and huge?

Please go back to showing the last post first, I keep going to a post and then realising its months or years old, just because ive never clicked on that  particular thread before.

Worse is that people are posting on threads which were started years ago and keep bringing them up to the top of the board.  There have been no improvements made for many weeks now so I'm not holding my breath.

I think, sadly, it's broken beyond repair. Since day one certain pages crash for me with no sign of a fix. Posting is difficult too.

Looking at recent site rankings and statistics the number of people viewing the forum has absolutely dropped off a cliff since the new design was implemented.

It's a real shame that the providers of the previous forum software couldn't have contributed towards an upgrade rather than this downgrade.
