The snagging thread has been locked, so no chance to reply.

MSE Tine updates us on progress, but there might be a couple of potential points arising about things declared to have been fixed.

Duplicate badges might be assumed to have been sorted out. My badge count has gone 24 to 35, 25, now back at 24

21 of these are redundant, with several duplicates. There are 13 about my post count; one is enough (or even none, given it's written there too). The part of the furniture badge is presumably based on posts or forum age or both, so even 3 badges would have some degree of superfluity.

It's completely understandable that the much loved old site may have been creaking a bit behind the scenes but the new version's user interface is just awful.  Can't believe how badly the user experience has degraded.

And judging by the huge volume of complaints across numerous threads in every board, I'm not the only one...

Sorry if its been mentioned, im sure it has, but replies especially even on a 10" tablet are far to small. ( yes i do know how to pinch zoom)

Does anyone know what the purple "NEW" is supposed to represent. All the competition posts seem to have it, even when you go back to posts previously seen. And I find the purple colouring much too bright.

Is the spam report thing working as it should?  15 spam reports on a post by a new user and it's still there - I think it would have gone by now on the old forum?

Funnily enough I was just reporting some spam posts earlier and found that this process is working more visibly than before - I clicked on three, each showing four previous reports, and each such post was deleted/hidden as soon as I did so, obviously implying that the threshold is five.  I don't recall being able to see how many spam reports had been logged against posts on the old forum and prefer the new one's visibility, although it's not exactly a tangible benefit to offset against all the negatives of the new format!

I've reported spam and it's still been visible to me, even when others have reported it before I did.

Apologies if this has already been asked -  but is there a way to get more posts per page - I had a much higher number on the old forum, and each page now feels too short.

(I did do a search, but couldn't find the answer)
