Why would you need them for a private parking matter  you do not need to prove anything to a PPC, the burden of prrof is on them.  In court a jydge must deceide OTBOP who is telling the triuth.  Who is he more likely to believ, a fine upstanding citizen or a PPC?

Ahhh thats good to hear. I posted earlier saying would i need proof of my ins document from 2016 to say who could drive my car in my WS and it probably would have helped my defence. But the fact i cannot get that made me think iv screwed up as my hubby can drive my car and my son. And i dont remember the day in question who it actually was and neither do they.

With you permission, anyone can drive your car if their own insurance includes driving other cars.  This is not a matter that a  judge would be concerned about.

It is unreasonable to expect a motorist to have proof of named drivers on an insurance policy five years after the event.

You just need to say that two other members of your household were insured to drive, and/or had use of the vehicle, and it is unreasonable to expect a motorist to remember who was driving on an unremarkable day so long ago.

It may also be the case that friends, neighbours, or relatives who do not live with you also had use of the vehicle, as well as motor mechanics driving to or from a garage.

As Mr Dance has said, anyone can drive the vehicle with your permission if their insurance permits it.

It is the claimant's job to prove that the keeper was the driver, not the defendant's job to prove they weren't.

When you turn down the Court's kind offer of a hearing on the papers.

At this stage in the process, generally speaking you must send the Claimant a copy of everything you send to the court.
