What Speshul group? I want to join it.
There are a few. One "advice/drop in/loiter" group twice a month, one "drop in, don't talk if you don't want to, chat if you want to, play board games, fiddle with some crafts, play ping pong if you want" weekly, one which does a pub/food night.Oh one of those. There is a mental illness one of those I can go to.Anyone any idea how I can get a haircut while socially isolated? I don't have a hairstyle (whats that for) but I am not sure what to do when I can no longer see.

That’s what I do.I do think that it is going to look a trifle unusual with a pony tail hanging down between my eyes and another one at the back......I don't think my hairdresser will miss me to be honest. She keeps telling me not to leave it more than 6 weeks between visits but something more interesting always gets in the way so that never happens and it is often more like 3 months between visits.I just don't get this hairstyle thing..... One of my friends said that that was a clue along with lots of others that I might be "different."6 -

Others are probably doing something productive.

Over the years I've kind of given up. I was just chopping off bits when it got out of control. I'd seen enough of them do it, watching in the mirror, to know you section it, then get a chunk, hold that at a certain angle and chop. Of course, it's impossible for a person to actually do that, do that accurately, do that equally on both sides... so I figure my end result is "like a hair cut about 4-5 weeks after it's been done".
I did have mine done late last year, a local College. That was kind of all right, cheap enough, but 2 days later I did realise that I think she'd actually done it wrong/not done it enough.... but what she did was good enough.
Now, at least, we'll ALL be sporting the new Coronas CBA To Risk It look.5 -
Receiving news that I no longer need to go into work...none of us are. It's not a permanent thing (fingers crossed) and I will be receiving 80% of my average earnings whilst we are closed.
I'm actually quite relieved, I was already getting myself into a bit of a state about having to go in tomorrow and the palpitations (through anxiety) had started again this evening....it's only been 15 minutes since receiving the news and they have magically gone.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Others are probably doing something productive.OK I can't read doom and gloom because it just magnifies the doom and gloom that my brain can produce on its own without any outside input.Today I have been able to watch the television without getting any irrational thoughts. Well not many. Still can't watch the news though.Trying to decide whether to take any Zopiclone tonight and risk the extra high usage of toilet paper that follows or to risk not taking it. I have two weeks supply and I am NOT taking them all. We will never be able to find that quantity of toilet paper.7 -

Oh I forgot, as our Mothering Sunday meal is off, middle son bought me a signed book for me to get stuck into whilst we hunker down...and I've just bought a crochet kit, I used to crochet many years ago and made a blanket, my aim is to make another one while I hide away. Not sure if my hands will be able to still do it, if they can it certainly won't be at the same speed but I'll give it a good go.We made it!
