Mum and dad got their Ocado order today, absolutely brilliant service as they got their much needed loo roll, bread, spaghetti and milk (we won't mention the bottle of rum and two bottles of wine) and the only missing item was one small packet of mince. Pretty good going on a £70 shop.

I wonder how people who live near Heathrow and Gatwick etc are getting on with the drop in air traffic noise etc.?

Husband went out shopping today when I was still asleep.  I knew he had because when I woke up I could hear the shopping bags rustling.  I also knew that he wouldn't last long before going into a food shop. It is a sort of hobby. Food shopping. I hate shopping.

I think The Wanderer has become The Hoarder.  Seems to go out for 1.5-2 hours each day now and then needs to spend 20 minutes squashing crackly packets into the kitchen......

There are a few. One "advice/drop in/loiter" group twice a month, one "drop in, don't talk if you don't want to, chat if you want to, play board games, fiddle with some crafts, play ping pong if you want" weekly, one which does a pub/food night.

Oh one of those. There is a mental illness one of those I can go to.

Anyone any idea how I can get a haircut while socially isolated?   I don't have a hairstyle (whats that for) but I am not sure what to do when I can no longer see.

I'd not bother... somebody you don't know, standing above you, breathing, touching your head/hair.  
The virus can only get into you via three routes: mouth, nose, eyes.  That stranger will be breathing droplets of moisture right close up to those.....

Oh I am not worrying about not bothering. I don't bother normally.   That was one of the things that gave the game away eventually.

I just wondered if there were youtube videos available. I mean if there are I have time to practice which would make not going ever again possible. Its those mundane conversations again that you are supposed to have. I never know what to talk about.

I am known at my local hairdresser as the person who took their band uniform hat  in and asked them to  cut round it.  It was a method to make sure all the short hair was under the hat.

I was very sad, because while in social distancing phase, my hairdresser came to the house as usual, but it caused me a lot of stress and a lot of washing down things afterwards, so now being in total lockdown, I cancelled her appointment for next week. I felt absolutely awful, as she is self-employed and doesn’t earn a huge amount. So I decided to send her the hairdressing fee anyway, as it wasn’t her fault. I don’t say that to be a virtue-signaller, and I don’t know how long I can carry on doing that, but she doesn’t charge a fortune anyway, and we have such a laugh, and she has done some things for me that were totes extra-curricular iyswim. 

After all, if I’m not going out, and no-one’s coming in,  who cares if I’ve got roots showing, or if I don’t straighten it as well as she does? It’ s not going to matter in the grand scheme of things, is it?

Survive first, worry about the state my hair is in second. 😁
