It is a good job that we are not having the worry Olympics now then because you would only get a silver. I have the edge at the moment. I have clinical depression. I would win.

Or is the general expectation just a few weeks?
I have been glued to the press conferences with the Chief Medical Adviser, etc., and this virus is very much an unknown thing, and they can only just go by scientific modelling, and the experiences of countries like China and Italy that were there before us.
Then there is the fear of mutation. However, the first priority is to get a vaccine for this one, and to worry about a seasonal version of it later.
However, there are apparently 35 agencies around the world all working on a vaccine and sharing info, so fingers crossed.
Must go.......the dettol in my moat needs topping up.😁😁(I just lurve spiders!)

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.5 -

I think it’s pretty hard to self isolate totally. As you said, Pyxis, you get a delivery and ask the driver to stand well back. You put gloves on and wash everything he’s delivered. You throw away the bags it came in, swab down the table you put the bags on. Peel the gloves off carefully and wash your hands. That’s as good as you can possibly do.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?4 -
How long...?
I read in the past week that once it's gone they expect it to join the others that pop up every year. It's on the list, it exists, therefore, each year, it'll re-emerge, just like flu etc. But, by then, there'll be knowledge of it, treatment knowledge, vaccines/whatever, so it'll be around, but managed differently/contained. In the future it'll become "just another winter flu to vaccinate against".

Well, there's how to spend £350! Blimey. MoT and service were already paid for as I'd bought a 3-year package. Most of that cost was a simple door handle/mechanism and fitting, that was the majority. They also did something with some oil, something that's supposed to be changed about now/mileage-wise and fitted two new wiper blades that were advisories but I thought "heck, why not, just do it".
Taxi was a surprise.... I looked at the meter this time (forgot the other day). I am not a user of taxis as they're too expensive. Door to door it's about 4.7 miles, discussed the journey/distance with the driver en-route, when I said 4.7 miles to walk he checked something on his dash (satnav) and said "Yeah, under 5 miles", the roads were clear, no holdups and almost no traffic. The route was all main, 40mph, bypass roads.... £15. Blimey. You can see why I'd not use a taxi now. One trip of 5 miles there and 5 miles back for £30 ... can run the car for a month with that much!5 -
As a rule, I don't worry, I think about things and work out a gazillion solutions and work arounds and problems to encounter.... that's not worrying, that's planning5
