Don't quote, will delete.
Right, unexpected turn of events.....
LL and bf were here... he knocked on my door as they wanted to check I was all right as my car's absent.
So I told a MASSIVE fib ... and set things up to move forward.
I told them about the MoT and then .... I have a compromised immune system, so might have to move out sooner than expected as my Dr's advised me not to share cooking facilities with anybody unless it's all stripped/sanitised daily
So, I've had the conversation that precedes the "I'm leaving" one, making that easier as it's now expected.
I thought it was easier than just saying "I hate you, I'm off"6 -
I am keeping my mouth shut. If I do what would help a lot of other people I suspect that my band conductor will cast me into outer darkness not just onto my nice plush naughty step in my parallel universe. (The cat hasn't got to it yet)He has issued a practice session for 30 minutes to keep us all in practice (I am not going to do it because I know it won't work very well and in any case I have something that works better and I always practice for longer than 30 mins) and he has missed out an important bit of pattern recognition which to me as a pattern recogntion person is so obvious but to everyone else is rocket science. To play music well at sight there are 3 basic sets of pattern recognitions that you need to be able to do by practicing them. He has missed one out.I am NOT going to point this out to him athough it is very, very tempting. I won't be able to cope with the fall out. And I know that he just won't get it. Been here before and I just know that he will argue with me.6

Bye bye London then.

Normally people moan about this as it means our seniors can't get a free tube pass, our 6th form kids weren't eligible for free transport on London buses and a whole host of other discounts and stuff. Now we are all saying that if London goes into Lockdown we are still free!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I hope my wittering on about hand-washing and deliveries and worrying hasn’t made things worse for you. Many apologies, if so. Plus germ-free virtual hugs.
It's one of the signs I display that things are getting too much and I am heading mentally downwards and as long as I recognise that and put things into place, then I can usually stop it. The difficulty this time is that so much is still up in the air regarding my employment is that getting an even keel is proving harder. Saying that though, I am feeling fairly relaxed this morning, I'm socially distancing myself in my bedroom, I can hear the birds outside and I am feeling oodles better than last night. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.6 -

Well, we'll have to wait and see what happens about London, but in the meantime the DM does admit that "speculation is raging."
Pyxis I heard the most gorgeous blackbird song this morning
Sue I'm glad you feel better this morning. The uncertainty is the worst thing of all, I find. x
I have a load of Muscari/Grape hyacinths in bloom in the little raised bed in the front garden. Reminded me, in the circs, of Monica Dickens in her book "One Pair of Feet" about being a nurse during WW2: "People wrote letters to the papers noting that even Hitler couldn't stop the daffodils from blooming, though it would have been far more noteworthy if he could."5 -
Something tells me that the town planners who thought building a mass housing estate of "regeneration" of flats on the old Wembley Park exhibition site are going to have to have another teensy weensy little thought about increasing density.6
