PasturesNew said:Well... I'm at a bit of a loose end. You can only read the DM so many times ... and only check FB so many times (to read the same stuff repeatedly). Then there's RM, nothing much coming to market, a few reductions on things I never wanted anyway.... no car.
I did think about making a food inventory, but realised if I did that I'd have to touch the packet of wine gums and they'd be opened ... and, before I knew it, they'd be gone by this evening.
I think my current sweeties stash is 6 100g bars of chocolate, 1 250g bag of chocolate misshapes, 1 pack of wine gums .... and 20 small packs of Refreshers Softies Minis, which are a child sized pack... I bought a job lot at the out of date place as they'd run out of the bulk buy bag of rocky bars. Not really liking them.... but just opened a pack anyway as I had to get/read a pack to know what they were
I think I've got 25 packs of crisps as the box started as 32 packs of 32.5g apiece... and I've had some.... also bought from the out of date place.(I just lurve spiders!)

Have you read the DM fully now? Time for some ripping then. Small pieces about the size you need for each segment of toilet paper. This is a money saving forum after all. Waste not want not and if any of those sweets you have stock piled have sweetners in them to get round the sugar tax you are going to need a lot of toilet paper.

Please, please don’t say you’ll flush it! 😱😱😱
Nothing should go down the loo except bodily waste and proper loo tissue, otherwise you risk major blockages, and we really don’t need that at the moment! 😱😱😱
It’s one of my real bugbears, so apologies for being ‘stern’. ☹️(I just lurve spiders!)

I am already mindful about my paper wastage, well, trying to remember to be mindful every time. We had a shortage in the 70s I recall... so now trying to ensure I don't run out by being careful how much I use... I'd got into the habit of being extremely lackadaisical about it all, as I was buying 4ldi's cheap brand... and it was plentiful ... so the focus was always on just making sure I had good stocks (when I had a house), not on how many months you can make one roll last
LOL/sweeteners.
Does anybody remember the cheap loo roll of the 1970s/1980s? I seem to remember quite thin rolls of what seemed to be a paper/crepe mix, it was ... a bit stretchy if you pulled it, not fluffy like these days.6 -

If you wipe a wee, then rest the tissue on the towel radiator to dry out ... I wonder how many times it can be re-used... probably 2-3.
P.S. Only guesses.... if you know we'll know you tried it

What I want to know is how something that you swallow at night with a good glass of water can make your breakfast taste really odd the next day? You get a metallic taste in your mouth without having to do any sucking.

That would work with that Izal stuff as long as you shook it carefully first before drying. The only problem is that I don't know if you can still buy it. I will look on Amazon. If you can still buy it I bet they won't have sold out of that.

6.08, Rustle-Fest 3 commences...
7.13 it ended.
It was constant, movement, rustling, chatter in "C", clanking, water gushing, more rustling, wrappers, dishes, then slurpy noises, then dessert in a bowl with spoons, slurping away.....
Thought they'd never f*** off6
